We hired this company last spring to remove several bushes and trees, plant new arborvitae and…read moreevergreen trees, and refresh the mulch in our yard. I want to start by saying the crew clearly worked hard--this was a big job that took about five days, and we appreciated the effort they put in. Unfortunately, the quality of the work did not match the time and effort. Three of the large evergreen trees were planted noticeably crooked, and the arborvitae were not planted deep enough. As a result, eight of them died within a relatively short time. When I contacted the company to address the issue, they initially agreed to replace the dead arborvitae. However, after that, communication stopped. They never followed through, did not show up as promised, and ultimately stopped responding to texts altogether. It's disappointing because we invested a significant amount in this project and expected both proper installation and basic follow-up service. While the crew was hardworking, the end result and lack of accountability make it difficult to recommend this company.

Truthfully there is very little lawn at any of these locations and so it has been fairly low stress. Mainly cleanup and snow in the winter. But over the course of our engagement I quite regularly showed up at the properties to find that nothing had been done in weeks, I'd make a call and things would usually be addressed promptly. BUT it appeared I generally had to actually call them out. At the and of this season I had to call and prompt for a fall cleanup. The crew cleaned up the leaves at one property and then filled up my tenant's garbage cans AND the neighbors with the lawn waste. Yeah that was a big problem for me. I had previously showed great patience given the context...it's only a yard. right?...but Sadly , over the last snow on Jan 23 and 24 they simply failed to show...24 hours later and still nada. I have aged tenants out shoveling the snow because the people I PAY fail to arrive. When I suggested via email that they need to arrive with greater haste or I'd need to find another service...I was basically told that I had an outstanding debt and I could shove it! Oh and there billing patterns are abysmal as well... So yeah my ire is raised...I was so patient with this unreliable service...shame on me. Find another option, why give your money away.

When the job was finished and paid, I asked about drainage after a rain. He told me it would be fine. In the spring the following year, less than 6 months after I was assured it would drain properly, I had standing water in my yard. I called him and when he came out he said "you have standing water and I hope you don't think this is a warranty issue because it is not but for $500 I can put more dirt on it and level it out but that is not guaranteed either." So this year I hired a professional and they corrected the issue. I would not recommend All Around Landscaping.

The owner came out to provide a quote which went well, and I called to schedule a time for the service. During that call, I inquired about the time of day I should expect him to come by. He said sometime in the morning, but that he'd be in touch closer to the date of service to confirm. The day before our appointment, I received a voicemail in the evening while I was working, asking if a particular time worked for the following morning. When I called the owner back in the morning to inquire about adjusting the time slightly (less than an hour), he became extremely hostile. We have a narrow, 1-lane driveway and I was simply trying to adjust the time he'd arrive so he didn't have to move his vehicle/equipment for us when we left for work, daycare drop off, etc. His response? "No. That's stupid, why would you want me to come any later?" I explained our situation and that we simply wanted to be out of his way with all of the coming and going in the morning. He told me that it was ridiculous to "expect him to wait outside my house for 45 minutes" even though that was not at all what I was asking to do. I stated I was simply asking for the time to be pushed back so we'd be out of his hair. He told me that I should "just leave right now (6am) to go to work and take my sleeping infant to day care" if it was "really that big of a deal for me." Also, for what it's worth, my home is less than a minute from their "office." I told him I was no longer comfortable using his service and that I would be canceling. I work with contractors on a daily basis and I've never had one speak to me in the unprofessional manner he did. I would not recommend doing business with someone who speaks to clients/neighbors in this way.

After I saw my yard, I called Robert right away to try to see if he could come make this right. I explained what happened and offered to send him photos but he wasn't interested in seeing them. (!!???) All he did was make excuses for a just plain SHITTY job. SHAME ON HIM! How do you operate a business like that?! We had just spent $6000 in professional landscaping about 1 month ago and had the yard mowed professionally by our landscaper 2 weeks prior to Robert's guys, and it was amazing! Unfortunately our landscaper doesn't service lawns in our area regularly so we needed to find another company. Bruce Lawn Service damaged our sod, ripped it up in various places, left all of the grass COMPLETELY uneven, left grass trimmings everywhere--it actually looks like the workers did donuts on our lawn. This is an absolute disgrace and I am abhorred. *For your reference: I also reached out to Greenpal and they have not responded. Definitely recommend to stay away from this provider.

I sent photos they requested when they broke the first 2 lights and finally sent them copies of my bill which was 340.00 for the repairs, asking for at least a courtesy call. No response. Many are not happy here with their service as the weeds along the curb are seriously out of control on the whole property and it goes into the lawn about 12 - 18 inches of weeds, amongst many other issues. I don't believe they sprayed for weed control as the mulch went right over all the weeds in the beds. This is their first season working for us and many residents are extremely disappointed. I shudder to think of them with snow removal this winter..... so there you have it.
