This woman, Amanda Guenette, has no social skills and we met with her (my mother, MOH and I) one time 8 months before my wedding, to see about decorations we could rent and linens. Her base price was $1,000. Somewhere between there and our meeting I ended up with a $2,200 invoice balance. As soon as I found another company I called her and left her a voicemail message that stated we would no longer need her services (or her outdated decorations)... Well, 8 months later (3 wks before my wedding) she calls and says "I would like to go over everything for your wedding". I told her how I had left her a voicemail and assumed since I speak to a number of vendors, she just got the message and moved on. That was my mistake. Her voice went instantly flat on the line and she said "You're $200 deposit will not be returned to you and I will contact you with what I would like to do about your special ordered decorations that I already ordered" ALREADY ORDERED? We spoke once in 8 months. Anybody who has ever been a bride knows how many times minds get changed. So we soon received not 1 but 2 nasty letters about how she was thinking of taking us to court and all that business. Needless to say we just gave her the $280 she wanted because in my life, that drama isn't worth it. I would NEVER EVER suggest ANYONE hire Ms. Guenette as a "decorator" or whatever she parades herself to be. That is my experience and I'm so glad I could get it out and make my day much better with the help of FINAL TOUCHES DESIGNS (they're awesome.)

Several days ago I got 15 in gas and a variety of other items. I was the only one at the pumps…read more They rang me up and I left. Today a cop shows up in my doorstep acting like I robbed the place. Even tho I had paid for what I thought was everything. I tried to call and pay over the phone and was treated like dirt. So I will go there, pay for the gas but I will not be treated like a thief for their screw up. I've been a customer for 25 years. Never again.

Went to see Kim at the Northernaire for a manicure & pedicure…read more Kim was very thorough, and gave a great pedicure and manicure. She's the salon and spa manager-- and is very particular about making sure that all the products sold and used in the salon and spa are all natural, and not tested on animals-- which was great to know! The day spa is quite small-- around 1.5 rooms, and a staff of two. Note, because the spa is small, appointments are easy to make and they can accommodate your schedule. Also-- this was my first time going to the Northernaire Resort before-- and from what I can tell, the resort is FABULOUS! Definitely, a great place to stay (they have condos to rent) and is a more 'luxury' way to stay in the Northwoods, if you say the Oneida Village Inn or local Cabins and Motels aren't your thing. I definitely will have my in-laws stay here the next time they come to visit.

You won't lose many balls but whether you are a 5 or twenty handicap you will have your hands full scoring. Nice, friendly bar with a nice grill menu most days. Also friendly ladies tees so play well or your wife/girlfriend just may beat you!
