My husband and I hired April Pinto Photography to photograph and film our wedding (Oct. 4th, 2025),…read moreand we do not recommend this business for the following reasons: (1) Did not film full wedding ceremony. We paid an additional $500 for April Pinto Photography to film our entire wedding ceremony, from start to finish. Instead of filming the entire ceremony from a tripod -- as we discussed -- the videographer ran around the ceremony, stopping and starting the footage. Moments April Pinto Photography did not film include: (1) the groom's entrance, (2) the bride's entrance, and (3) the bride's father giving her away. We are missing 4 minutes of a 20 minute ceremony. April Pinto Photography refused to issue any sort of refund (despite not providing us with a "full unedited ceremony video", as dictated by our contact) or even apologize for messing up on the most important days of our lives. (2) Unprofessional Behavior. During the wedding: We received numerous complaints from guests about April's behavior and professionalism. She would yell -- rather than ask politely -- for guests to get in poses or take off glasses. In addition, she offended multiple guests by assuming relationship statuses (e.g., assume mother and son were married or wife and husband were father and daughter ), making guests feel insecure about their appearances and age. Before the wedding: We booked April without interviewing her. After we paid the deposit and had a video call, we felt she was very rude and condescending during our interactions. For example, my husband did not have a lot of opinions on photos, so he would defer to my opinion. April made multiple quips that "he must not care" about getting married and complained that he was "too camera shy" when he did not want one part of his getting ready moments photographed. We found April's behavior so unprofessional that we we began interviewing other photographers and were prepared to lose our $900 deposit. Unfortunately, we could not find someone in time so we attempted to mitigate contact by directing April to only communicate with us through our wedding planner. However, April refused to respect this boundary and would blow up our phones whenever our wedding planner messaged her -- despite both us and our wedding planner having multiple conversations that all communication needed to be through our wedding planner and that she was not to contact us directly. If there is one upside, it's that we do like how our wedding photos turned out. However, working with April Pinto Photography was an overwhelmingly negative experience, and we cannot recommend this business in good faith to anyone -- especially on one of the most important days of a person's life.

When I booked her for my wedding, I was told that she "meets with the bride a month beforehand to give the bride all her attention." When we tried to schedule a meeting, she was too busy. I ended up calling and she was driving. I took notes and emailed her but was not given the time for her to understand my wants. On the day of the wedding Brittany's second photographer spent her time taking photos of my dress and shoes...without me in them. I specifically said I didn't care for these, nor did I need pictures of the decor. I wanted photos of PEOPLE, as was discussed in our phone call. During the reception, Brittany got her caricature done by an artist we hired for OUR guests. This took away from photos of guests she could have taken. We ended up with only 10 pictures of guests. When we received the photos (TWO MONTHS after the wedding), there were things that disappointed my husband and I such as the quality of photos, what was photographed (decor and the dress/rings), and the lighting of photos. Brittany is fixing the lighting best she can on most of the photos. We do not feel we received the care and dedication I've seen in previous work from Bay Productions. I am disappointed in the unprofessionalism and how my concerns were handled. If you book Bay Productions, be sure to have a face-to-face pre-wedding meeting. They do amazing photos, their truest work was just not shown in my wedding photos.

Let me tell you why: From the very first communication, she was warm and very responsive. She worked with us on our budget and was very clear and easy to communicate with. She provided me with some smart tips before my wedding so that the group photos following the ceremony flowed smoothly and seamlessly. Where she truly shined was on my wedding day itself. I had my wedding at the Dallas Arboretum and the wedding coordinator that was assigned to me was truly awful. There were problems with the set-up that she had no intention of solving and she brought me close to tears with her rudeness 5 minutes before the guests were set arrive. Laura (who I had just met in person that day) jumped in and took charge. She cheered me up, reassured me that she would handle things and sent me off to get dressed. When I walked down the aisle, everything had been set right thanks to Laura! She truly went way above and beyond what she had been hired to do and I will be forever grateful to her that my wedding did not start off on a sour note. All my family and guests loved her too-she has a great personality and brought out the best in people during the group photos. She took so many gorgeous photographs that day that I still haven't sorted out my favorites because there are too many to choose from. Since then I have been recommending Laura to everyone I meet. It was during our newborn photo session that I really got to see all sides of her photography and personality. First, her studio is amazing. She has so many options for props, backgrounds and outfits. I felt like we were at a Hollywood photo studio for babies. You don't have to bring any outfis. She has everything. Second, she handles babies with the utmost care. My baby was a bit fussy and didn't really want to take pictures. Lily automatically took control of soothing and comforting my daughter.
