My husband and I got Alicia's engagement/holiday family session which was supposed to be a 30 minute session as a family. We was absolutely amazing with our two dogs, 1 male Havanese who is 5 years old named Mac and a female havanese-poodle mix, Maizie. They are both pretty good with me and my husband when off leash in a busy area but they are pretty against paparazzi and usually we can barely get a good photo of them on our own. Alicia was awesome she picked out this great park in Santa Monica and even though we were 15 minutes late due to traffic coming up from Redondo Beach she was already set up and done scouting and ready to shoot! She made both me and my husband feel very comfortable for the shoot, especially since we are extremely awkward together in photos... and more importantly Alicia made our pups feel SUPER at home. Our little Maizie is a stray and is usually super scared of strangers but she didn't even bark at Alicia at all and was even open to letting Alicia pet her while we were doing solos with Mac. She was also really great at getting the dog's attention and she was very hands-on and active trying to get the best shot, even laying in the grass or on her knees with her 'knee pads' LOL. On top of how much fun we had with our pups, Alicia shot with us for over an hour instead of the 30 minute package we paid for AND she got our best photos to us within the day! It was an amazing experience! We honestly can't wait to shoot with her again, but this time probably her doggy lifestyle package so we can just have great photos of our pups playing around together! Let me just say that Alicia is truly a fantastic photographer and loves furbabies. This was evident from all stages of our interactions. She really took the time to talk to us about our dog and got to know what we liked and her backstory. She's passionate, patient and truly determined to get those perfect shots. I reached out to Alícia a few months ago, knowing she wasn't taking any more clients because she was on maternity leave. I figured I'd never get a response back, but I got a response on the same night!! I really wanted to take some decent photos of my babies. Life is unpredictable and I would regret it so much if I didn't have decent photos of them. At the time, I had been fostering Lucy a few short months (I've since officially adopted her) and, having previously been a neglected street dog and recently hit by a car, she was very weary and untrusting of humans... especially strangers. We just received our photos yesterday and I had to put them up on the walls right away. I had a hard time deciding which photos to print now and which ones I would print once we move and have more wall space. Now our home looks like a BOO! gallery and we love it :) My dog is a 5 year old rescue mix who loves to play with toys and cuddle. I worked with Alicia to surprise my girlfriend with a Christmas card photoshoot turned proposal. She was understandably a little nervous when she found out what I was planning, but quickly hopped on board. She worked with me on a good plan of action for the proposal, as well as suggesting some locations and providing example photos she had previously taken at those spots. When it came time for the big day, Alicia did a great job directing us (our dog was less cooperative) and giving us ideas for poses. She also put in a lot of effort trying to capture some ideas that we wanted for the card. In case you're wondering, the proposal also went off without a hitch! A NIGHTMARE !!! AVOID THEM. Made an order the 23th of October. 3weeks later i've emailed them to know where was my order but there was an issue to send me the drawing proof. After several modifications, my drawing was still waiting to be printed. The excuse was that the printer was broken and they were buying a new one. After that, they said too many orders for Christmas. I've asked a refund the 30th of December so 2 months lost. I don't recommend them at all, they are just good for apologizing. read more

I cannot express enough how impressed I was with Alicia's work. For a long time my husband and I were discussing if it would be worth it to hire a professional photographer to take photos of our Yorkshires. DO NOT HESITATE, JUST BOOK HER!! You would really want to frame every picture Alicia takes! We were searching a pet photographer for a while as we wanted to capture our puppy while she is little. Alicia's photos stood out among all the others, and our only hesitation was the price. More than a couple of hundreds for an hour photo shoot with 25 photos.. we were thinking it's a bit expensive. BUT, turns out Alicia is so talented that an hour is quite enough for capturing so many different situations, personalities, and 25 is quite enough because she choose the best ones for you (also you can purchase more if you want). Alicia's response was always quick and accurate. If you are not 100% sure about the locations, always good to look at her instagram or webpage and look for pictures you like, so she can suggest locations. We booked lifestyle session with 2 locations, and did Santa Monica pier plus beach as we wanted those LA's iconic sceneries including the colorful walls, and some beach action photos. You should stay in one general area because you will waste time moving around. Alicia knew the areas very well and she directed us and instructed how to pose very efficiently. Our puppy was not super cooperative but Alicia is very good at getting attention! We sent some reference photos for ideas before the photo shoot and Alicia covered them all. My review is long overdue. Alicia is an extremely talented photographer who has true compassion for her work and animals. Just take a look at her photo gallery or website, you will get a sense of her artistic skills and talent. Last November, I hired Alicia to take photos of my beloved Eskie, Shino, for his 17-year old birthday celebration knowing it would probably be his last. I was choosing between Alicia and another well known SF pet photographer. I decided to choose Alicia after viewing her work online and speaking with her at length on the phone. Due to Shino's physical limitation, we had photos taken at home. During our session, Alicia was very professional and creative. She made various suggestions for staging and poses. She was also very patient and sensitive to Shino's medical condition/needs throughout our session. Alicia did not rush us and even spent extra time to ensure she had captured the best possible shots before ending our session. The photos were elegant and truly captured Shino's beauty, grace, and adventurous spirit despite his condition at the time. As others stated in their reviews, I, too, had a difficult time choosing the photos and selecting some for art prints as they all brought back sweet memories for me. Those images are even more precious now since he went over the rainbow bridge earlier this year. I'm the proud daddy of Max the bullmasador, my 150lb "puppy" and step-dad to Stewie the pug. My fiance and I have been talking about getting some pet photography for awhile. Alicia is truly amazing. I reached out to her after learning that my dog Harry, my best friend in the world, had less than two months to live. While I didn't wholeheartedly believe the vet's diagnosis, I realized that our time together was nearing an end and I wanted great photos to remember him by. I hired Alicia to take photos of our dogs as a special gift to my SO. I'm very glad I hired Alicia to take photos of my 2 greyhounds. I've always tried to take pictures of them together but they would always move and I'd only get blurred pictures. Also, both hate the camera's click. For some reason they hear that noise and they get scared and run away. However, Alicia managed them. She was endlessly patient with a few reschedules and beautifully photoshopped some images to get rid of leashes and perk up ears. A word of warning to those with strong-willed dogs: Get the setup you want early in the shoot in case yours breaks free, chases geese and jumps in a lake like mine did! Had a fantastic experience with Alicia and Frame Your Pet. She was great to work with, I loved the results, actually everyone's loved the results and she'll likely be getting calls from some friends of mine. Like a lot of people, I realized my dog was getting old and I didn't have a decent photograph of her. I figured after twelve years of snapping photos of the dog sheer chance would at least give me one or two good shots. It was time to admit that my photography skills were so deeply, deeply awful that they'd defeated even the laws of probability. The dog didn't have another 12 years for me to get it right. It was time to throw in the towel and call the professionals. I pretty exhaustively researched all the pet photographers in town. Alicia hit all the right notes: her images had personality and showed talent with a camera. She responded to my inquiry promptly and I was impressed that she wanted to schedule a quick call to talk about what I'd like. She was such a pleasure to talk to and it wasn't a quick call after all as she took all the time we needed to answer my questions. The day of the shoot she was great work with, was fearless about getting right down on the same level with the dog and had some great ideas for shots that I certainly never would have thought of but turned out just beautifully. I can't say enough about Alicia and how amazingly talented she is. Her lifestyle photography is absolutely incredible and she is truly passionate about animals. She got some great shots of our two dogs (one of them who's a puppy). I don't know how she did it, but she managed to get the tiny guy to look at the camera enough to capture some awesome shots! We even got him up on a tree at one point and he stayed relatively steady! She has a knack for making the shots look natural and really capturing the personalities of everyone she shoots.
