Absolutely outstanding meal here in October 2025 (white truffle season). Setting is rustic and…read morethere are only a handful of tables. I loved that each guest can order a different tasting menu, so we took one "land" and one "sea". We thought the land was the winner, but choosing both allowed for an outstanding number of options. So many highlights, but 2 I'll mention were the ethereal violet-mousse dessert, and the foie dish from the land menu that was one of the best things I've eaten. There were 2 servers and both were exceedingly helpful and attentive, though the young lady with the short hair had such a bad cough that I worried for her health (and ours! Though we didn't catch anything). Chef Flavio also works during the day extensively in the office out front, and it is a rare opportunity to meet him as guests of the hotel attached to the restaurant (which offered comfortable rustic rooms). The setting amidst vineyards is also very special. And I must also make mention of the excellent wine list which is worth a trip on its own! A deep selection of vintage barolos - I got a 2013 barolo that had nicely aged and was served in the finest stemware at the amazing price of 58€ (the next evening I dined at another 1-star restaurant where the same bottle would've been several times as much, if you could even find it). 21.9 was probably my best meal of 2025 thanks to the intimate setting, outstanding wines and exclusivity. Highly recommend dinner and a night's stay to go with it.

The tasting menu is plentiful and gives you a lot of variety with a lot of inventive dishes. Service is excellent. Location is wonderful - who doesn't want to eat with the grape vineyards out the window? Memorable experience!

Juno and Jupiter be praised that he indeed is. I don't remember what we ate, but I do remember us being utterly floored by how good it was. So much so that in a four day stay, we came for our evening eats TWICE. The owner is one of those happy, lucky few who truly loves what he does for a living (and extremely good as well) and it is so evident in the food he serves. Heed the words of the first reviewer Crystal. Personally, I think it's the best food north of Napoli and that includes that wonderful arena of gluttony, Bologna. If you goto Torino, go here. If only all of life were that simple.

GO HERE. You'll be so happy you did. If you're in Turin (or…read moreMilan, or Bergamo,or Parma, or anywhere within a train distance), this is the place you MUST VISIT. The food was blissful. We had the fried fish mixed plate, the house-made ravioli with shrimp, the octopus with potato and it was all so good. As foodie tourists, my husband and I have travelled in most of Italy's big cities (Rome, Florence, Milan, the Lake District) sampling the best restaurants we could find on TripAdvisor, Yelp and the Michelin guide. I can say with certainty that this one, A6 Sciamadda is my number one favorite. Mauro, the chef and owner, delights guests with the flavors of his hometown near the sea. And the wonderful host (I'm sorry I can't spell his name) shares the story of the dish as well as the wine he recommends. This is not simply a meal. It is an experience. You may enter hungry, but you will leave with the happy glow of having spent an hour with a new friend. As travelers, we all know how it is. You search reviews. You look at maps. Over and over, we ask ourselves the same question: Will this be worth it? Worth our time, our money and our travel energy spent to get there. After a quick day-trip to Turin during our Milan vacation, I can promise you that it is totally worth it. In fact, if you begin by eating at A6 Schimada, you may find that, like me and my husband, you change your travel plans and book your next visit to stay here instead.

The pasta alla Genovese was aromatic and tasted superb! We also ordered fish of the day ( Fresh Baked seabass with potatoes , olives and pinioli) it was full of flavors, served on its own broth! This is my kind of place to go to, where the locals eat , and everything gets prepared after you order. And the big plus is we got the best server Diana!

Their food is typical Ligurian style with local classics and lots of options for pasta, fish and meat. I wanted good seafood so, I ordered the local fish stewed in a tomato gravy with olives. This is a huge dish and takes about 30 mins to prepare and, enough for two people to share :-)) at €17 for this main, it's the best fish I have had in a long time. It's a dish made with mussels, prawns, scampi, sardines, cod and couple of other local fish I don't know the names of. Caution : if you don't like bones then don't order this dish ;-)) I even ate the prawns in their shell as it was a thin edible shell. Many people don't like this but, this type of prawn should be eaten whole without peeling :-))) For dessert I had a fabulous milk based cake with a strawberry jus. All in all a fabulous meal and the place was packed outside with no tables free for the evening. Prices are very reasonable and I would have paid almost twice that for the same food in France or Germany :-) If you want good local Genoa cooking with some decent local wines then check this place out. For service and friendliness it gets 5 stars :-))
