He unfortunately had a water leak and our calls and…read moree-mails went unanswered so many times that we finally had to call Allstate directly ourselves and file the claim. I believe it was probably a total of eight times we tried to contact him to no avail. Needless to say, this was extremely frustrating and it's delayed getting things fixed. When you have something go wrong in your home and you have insurance, you want an agent who's gonna get back to you ASAP so you can get things fixed!

After a month of opening my auto and home insurance with Gregg, we reviewed my account and noticed they had added a 3rd car to my policy, a cabrio I had never owned. They refunded me the charges but really?? This should have been a red flag!! I had opened an accident insurance policy to cover maternity leave, after i had the baby i called to cancel it. I spoke with Gregg and he said it was all taken care of. The next month my premiums were debited from mt bank account (86$) it took multiple calls to the office and finally I had to go into the office with a newborn to get them to sort it out correctly and refund me over 150$ in extra premiums I'd paid since asking for the policy to be closed. After I got married they said they had processed my Name change, it took multiple phone calls to actually get it done. Recently I had some mechanical issues with my car, and it was off the road and I asked them to remove it from my policy. I found out the repairs wouldn't be as costly as I had thought, got it fixed and requested it be put back on my insurance in early September. When I logged into the Allstate app in November to pay my bill, my car WAS NOT on my insurance!! I had been driving uninsured because of their error. And when they put my car back on, they added a completely different car!!! I told them this and they said it was fixed. In December my mortgage payment went up 50+ dollars a month, and it was due to an increase in my premiums of 300$ a year! No notice, just increased. When I spoke to Gregg, he found ways to lower my rates again and got me a new, cheaper policy, and we discovered they STILL had the wrong car on my insurance. He said they fixed the car. Now, in February I am receiving cancellation notices for my home owners insurance because it hasnt been paid. Upon investigation my old home owners policy was never cancelled, so my premiums didnt move onto the next policy. This caused them to charge my mortage company for a second whole policy! Which they were in the process of paying!! When, in fact the mortgage company only should have been paying a small amount. If this had gone through it would have cause a large amount to be missing from my escrow account, and my mortgage company would have adjusted my payment to make up for it. Luckily, I caught it in time! And, they STILL have the wrong car on my auto policy! *head desk* I would caution anyone looking into Allstate insurance to find a different agent. Because this is just WAY to many mistakes in the short few years I have been with Allstate.

Over the years, for a variety of reasons, I ended up with various other companies. Lately however I began to feel that I was being overcharged. Recalling that I had been happy with State Farm and The Chan Agency in the past I decided to get a quote from him. And was I glad I did! Reagan - I hope I'm spelling that properly - was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Unfortunately her computer was having issues which prevented her from getting me an immediate quote. But she promised to work on it and get back to me as soon as she could... which she did within just a few hours. Imagine my shock when she informed me that State Farm could save me nearly HALF what I had been paying. I almost fainted! Of course we will see how they handle claims when and if I have any. But I have every confidence that going with State Farm was a good decision. Only wish I'd done it sooner!

All responses I received from her seemed rushed as if she was bothered by me asking any questions. They only call when they want to sell you insurance. I never met Louis Chan and was never contacted by him in 4 years with his office. All the office wanted was my money and not to be bothered. They took a temporary address and requoted my insurance without telling me and sent me a bill with a retroactive date they chose arbitrarily. They never bothered to communicate with me about it - just sent the bill. When I called back, they showed obvious frustration that they would have to change it. They called, threatening that my insurance was going to be cancelled without politely asking questions. It was rude and I wish that I had switched insurance long ago - prior to my move out of the area.
