When we arrived, the restaurant was busy which was a great sign. Our server and bartender was Corey. Corey was absolutely outstanding. She was extremely busy but she constantly stopped by to check on us throughout our service. We were never left waiting for service. I'm disappointed I didn't take pictures of the food but three of us ordered the ribeye steaks, one person ordered a tenderloin steak and the others ordered burgers. The tenderloin came out perfect. She said it was excellent. The burgers were fine, not cooked to order but they said they were tasty. The issue came with the ribeyes. First, the ribeyes were between a quarter inch and half inch thick which is unusually thin in my experience. We all ordered the ribeyes to be cooked medium. Two of the ribeyes came out well done. The last ribeye came out a few minutes after the rest of the food was served and it was completely raw on the outside and well done in the center. We all commented they must have forgotten about it threw it into a microwave at the last minute to be cooked. Unfortunately none of us ate much of the ribeye steaks. They were a disaster. This dining experience was unfortunate as it sounds like most people have had excellent meals. It must have been an off night.

We ordered the chips with salsa and guacamole, shrimp cocktail and charcuterie board. I don't drink beer but everyone said the beer was tasty. Overall, we had a nice experience.

Cabinet Mountain Brewing was long on my list and I wasn't sure when I may actually get to it since…read moreit's a little bit out of the way from attractions and other breweries that we have mapped out but on my last trip to Montana I managed to get that worked out. The beer I had from this brewery was the Ross Creek Red. This was an enjoyable beer and one that was refreshing with it's subtle flavor characteristics of maltiness and a touch of smokiness. A little bit rich but still light bodied this was nice, well made beer with a very good balance to it! Glad to have managed to have tried this brewery and if you are passing through Libby and have craft beer on your mind then this is a worthy stop to make!

Eating great food, listening to their stories, and real connections with the wonderful small-town folk who gather there!! That was back in 2008! I hope it hasn't changed at all.
