I was trying to outprocess CIF and couldnt find some items. Originally I went to another store in Tillicum but they had none of the items I needed. As soon as I got into the Foxhole, Kara (sorry if I misspelled it) asked if I needed help. I gave her the list of items I needed and she was able to check their entire store and got me exactly what I needed. She even advised me to call CIF first before I bought to make sure a size mismatch was OK. Ultimately they ended up saving me almost $400 on clearing. WARNING. Used to shop here all the time but when I went to get some items yesterday late morning (08/27/2025), the older woman who works there said I couldn't buy the items here anymore because I am not active military. So I went and bought the items I wanted way cheaper at the other surplus stores nearby. I didn't know the rules changed. So if you're not active military, the other surplus stores are not only cheaper but also have those items :). read more

Buyer beware. No returns means no returns. EVEN IF they sell something that is defective and highly damaged, the owner will come up with every excuse of how after you take the tags off there is no way to prove it is her item, etc. etc. Owner upcharged me for an item because it was "mismarked" I went to use it a week later and it was broken and they refused to take it back since the tags weren't on it. Very poor customer service. Totally centered around making money and not taking care of customers. read more

Went to 2 other Surplus Stores off the Berkeley Exit before coming to this one, and I definitely wish I came here first! The prices are pretty high, but it was for brand new stuff & they were the only store that had them in stock, so, can't really complain... I remember growing up there where several of these stores around and I loved going to them . I found out this was the last one left and I went there and was not disappointed one bit. Decals . Surplus galore . Picked up a few things for hunting and camping. Prices vary but still better then buying crap online . Glad to see there still around ! Will be coming back for sure read more

In the Army it's always useful to have a military surplus store near the base to replace gear you lose in the field or need to obtain for an upcoming mission. This military surplus store is not the one you want to visit. It may be the largest of 3-4 surplus stores in Tillicum but it is far from the best. In fact it's pretty much the worst; I had to buy a lensatic compass there a couple of months ago but I ended up not needing it. Seeing as it cost me $45 I tried to return it only to be informed that they wouldn't give me a refund for my purchase less than a week later. Appeals to reason and decency were denied and I was stuck with the compass. I will never go back to the Foxhole again and I suggest you visit one of the military surplus stores across the street for any of your needs/purchases. read more

I walk in with a military jacket, new with tags, to sell. It retails at the PX for $179. They were selling used ones for over $100. They offered me $10. There is also paintball safety equipment that is new in the package that is several years old. The stuff was recalled in 2004 and is worthless, but it has a price tag of $125. I informed the people working there that the stuff was recalled, is unsafe, and a possible liability. They didn't care. read more

Prices are extremely high!!! Went to purchase the new pts and everyone was out when I finally got on post to see the price difference I was pissed. Prices are liked doubled. That is ridiculous when you make soldiers pay 2 times the amount out of convenience I would not recommend this place at all! They don't even exchange anything brand new. I've had a few experiences here, each time had been a good one. Most recently, I got a pair of boots, All of which are expensive. It was easy to find, and had a nice variety (goes for the whole store). The checking stand is a little crowded but that's my only complaint. They have nice staff and nice customer service. read more

This place is great if you need to get something quickly. The store has plenty of inventory, but it isn't any cheaper than on post. Aside from that, the customer service from the workers sucks! Forget about asking for help. They will just point, rudely tell you where it is, and make you figure it out yourself, as if you are a nuisance. That isn't customer service at all. We have been here a handful of times but will be looking elsewhere first from now on before heading here as our last resort. read more

This is a military surplus and the biggest military surplus in Tillicum. They have varieties of military uniforms new and used, such as ACU, Multicam, Woodland, Black, and Tan BDU'S. If your thinking about survival or being prepared just in case snow storm will happen again, this store has MRE's, portable stoves, medical kits, hand warmers, paracords, chemlights, shelter halves, and even fuel cans. The employees are very respectful and helpful. Also, the product that they sell in this establishment are far cheaper than the other store around. Stop by and see for yourself. We really like this store. The staff there are great - gave my son a free waterproof writing pad sample and loaned us a flashlight to help us find a dropped toy. Very nice and helpful. The only reason they aren't getting five starts is that the prices are full - high retail. read more

I don't understand the dislike I'm reading from these reviews. Every time I shop here they're friendly. Everything about this store is as expected from any military surplus store I've been to around the country. Used or a bit pricey is to be expected and they won't always have everything obscure you never saw anywhere else. This place is a ripoff!!! i needed a pair of flyers gloves for an inspection... $60 for a used pair! I found them across the street for $20 brand new. It was a huge deal the return them and they weren't happy. They obviously just want to take advantage of the needs of soldiers. Go across the street. it looks dumpy but the guy in there knows where everything is and it's at least half the price of what the Foxhole is selling it for. read more

This business is run like a dictatorship - definitely run only as a self-serving business to the owners. I was informed (by very rude clerks) that I could not use my tax exempt status when making a purchase, and that unless I signed the back of my credit card (in front of them no less) they could not accept that either. Two problems: It is not up to an individual business whether or not to honor tax exempt status, IT IS UP TO THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, and if you operate a business here, you are required to honor it if I provide the appropriate paperwork! There is no place to sign the back of my credit card; it has my picture on the back, issued by the company that way, so that it cannot be as easily used fraudulently. My third issue is their return policy: You buy it, you cannot return it. They wanted over $100 for boots for a Christmas gift that may or may not work out.... STRAIGHT UP CROOKS! read more
