I needed to move my 1968 Chevy Impala from my home to my daughter's home -- approximately 500 miles away. After doing some research on auto hauling, I was discussing this with the mechanic who was working on the car. He suggested I contact Foxhaul Global Logistics. I did, and it worked out very well for me because:
- Throughout the process I dealt directly with the folks who were going to haul my car, not a company who contracts someone else to move the car.
- The car was picked up at my home and delivered to my daughter's home. This is atypical. Normally auto haulers pick the car up at a near-by parking lot and deliver it to a near-by parking lot. This is because the often double-decker trailers cannot negotiate neighborhood streets. That was the initial plan for my car. However, when Foxhaul learned that I would need to get a permit from the DMV and obtain temporary insurance coverage to make the car "street legal" on each end of the move, they re-looked at the pick-up and drop-off locations and determined they could pick up and drop off at our homes -- not nearby parking lots.
-My car was the only car on the trailer--loaded from my driveway, delivered to my daughter's driveway the next day. One load. One unload.
-The driver was very careful with my car during the load and unload process. In addition to the paperwork, he took pictures and suggested that I do likewise. He also asked that I obtain the driver's license number of the authorized receiver of the car.
- Foxhaul texted me when the driver stopped for the night and gave me the ETA's at my daughter's home the next morning. They notified me when they reached her home and when the delivery was completed.
From start to finish Foxhaul Global Logistics was professional, courteous, flexible, and customer-focused. They did everything they could to make the process easy for me. After the car was delivered, I texted my daughter, " Everything go well? Were you pleased? Her immediate response, "Yes, it went great! No problems." read more
