STRICTLY AVOID!!!…read more Not many English reviews but here goes one. I went into the shop one day ago to get maintenance service for a 28" bicycle rusting for the last 5 years. Its tires were dead, and all the other parts needed oiling and such. First thing I asked if we can communicate in English. The answer was yes. I explained the problem and said, "Do whatever is necessary". The answer was "Okay". I asked, "How much it is going to cost?" The answer was "75 euros and I will not do anything additional but tires and oiling". Despite the price (and I understand that handwork is expensive in Finland with respect), I said "That's perfect. Can I pay now?" The answer was "No you pay when it is done". We agreed on the delivery date and I left. Today I went to collect my bike after a text message. There was a piece of paper on the bike stating the price as 91 euros. It is because the repairmen added new tubes. The person there started to blabber saying "I told you that there will be additional costs; this is a language issue; I am sorry..." et cetera Now I may not be Finnish or European but I have been working all around the world. I have never heard such a bullsh*t excuse to rip a customer off. If you are doing business, promising one thing the day before and changing it the day after, you shall not do that business. Simple as that. You are not an honest man of trade. If you have asked for 100 euros, in the beginning, I would have said yes. No problem! And I know I can get a proper second-hand bike to that money here. If I had the time and the energy I would demand him to get the tubes back out.... Seriously! Avoid at all cost! Go to Biltema and buy everything you need, check youtube for DIY videos and make it yourself on a good weekend. It would be better. There is even a free bike repairing workshop around Koroistentie 2, 20380 Turku. Go there and they will help you with an honest manner.
