I had a parent/teacher conference and after we finished the teacher dropped my daughter off to the boys and girls club. The "manager" (if you want to give these people titles) calls me very upset and says, "you need to come pick your daughter up now, she is not signed in and it is past sign in time!" After I advised her that I did not know she was brought to boys and girls club after meeting with the teachers she grabs the director, and she comes out and yelled at me in front of parents, students, teachers etc stating, "I expect parents to remain professional and respect the hours of operation!" I stated back to her " I didn't drop my child off, the teacher brought her in, and how unprofessional of you to scream at me like this in front of parents, students and staff!" She responded while yelling, "this is your daughter's last day!!" I was mortified. Now i am scrambling to find before/after care for my daughter so I can work. Save your children, do not bring them to this program. They just sit at a lunch table, no activities, no games, music, nada! It's like a babysitting club where my child comes home miserable daily. Everyday she tells me of how mistreated she is, the bullying, name-calling etc...

I volunteered for them in another state when I was a social work student, and I found them to be particularly helpful in relation to helping families who have suffered fire or other devastating disaster or (verifiable, documented) loss. On to the Brooksville local: Not easy to find at first unless you are looking for the red sign and know your way around Brooksville and Cortez/50/Wiscon Road area. It's nestled off of the Cortez Highway in a more semi-rural area just as you come into Brooksville, from Sp Hill, or, if you are coming from Brooksville downtown or by Wal-Mart, just take Cortez or Wiscon like you are headed to Spring Hill. Look for the red sign with white lettering (see: figure one), and I will also enclose a map. First time I tried to find it at the suggestion of a friend I ended up a little lost, but that was only because my gps at the time had its own mind. Had I known that they treat animals this way I would have never wasted my time. Well since then I have found a 11 week old yellow Labrador and my current dog and new puppy play until they sleep, boy were they wrong, and for that reason they get a 1 star rating.

At this point I knew our ticket just got punched to exit the building. But we were allowed to complete the class for the day with the other Veterans. At the end of class I was advised that that staff needed to talk with me. We were told that my dog's aggression was not acceptable and suitable for the program. With that said I knew we have JUST crossed into a kill zone and was LEFT BEHIND. The program didn't leave room for error but rather a placed were my word vs their word. My dog Zena came in with one strike hanging over her head which she shouldn't have had. Your program FAILED me and left me in a dark space.
