BEAUTIFUL LANDMARK IN UPTOWN COLUMBUS GEORGIA…read more================================================ My husband and I were staying across the river at the end of April and beginning of May while visiting my son. This whole complex including the water tower is so strikingly beautiful in the way it looks. I just couldn't help myself from taking multiple photos of it. This big property is now mixed-use residential and commercial property, but it was originally a cotton mill back in 1860. I really hate this part of history, but I am just explaining the history of this complex. They produced the material for the Confederate uniforms during the Civil War. The Eagle Mills buildings were burned during the war, but were rebulit in 1869 and renamed the Eagle & Phenix Mills to symbolize rising from the ashes. It became the largest mill in the south by 1878. W. C. Bradley was on the board of the company that owned the mill and he ended up owning the mill from 1915 until 1947. In December of 2003 the mill property was repurchased by W. C. Bradley Co.. If you drive around Uptown Columbus you will see that name on most of the properties along the Chattahoochee River. Just "Google" it and you will learn more history of the property. Check out my photos.

It's a drump. When you first see it you think it's nice because it's a textile mill style loft on…read morethe river with a well staged sample apartment that they have you do a walk through of. But this place has so many issues. First the grounds aren't well kept. This is a very large complex that should have grounds maintenance daily. There's broken glass and dog poo everywhere. Then there's a so called trash concierge service you can pay extra for which is advertised as being daily trash pickup at your door. Sounds great right? Except that they only actually come once a week maybe or they'll come 3 days in a row and go MIA the next full week. So there's trash stacking up in the hallways for those who refuse to take it down themselves in absence of this so called concierge service. Oh and it's roach infested. You can ask for a spray service which helps with that but they should just be doing it for all apartments since they know the building is infested. Next there's the periodic emergency alarms that typically go off in the middle of the night when you're asleep jarring you out of bed and making your pets go crazy. This just happened again last night at 2am. Blaring ear piercing alarms in the apartment and the hallways for at least 40 minutes. So most residents take their pets outside to their cars to wait out them eventually coming to turn off the alarms. Oh and the elevators periodically break or are out of use so hot those stairs with all your bags. The interior of your apartment is in dire need of renovation. The walls are paper thin. I can hear everything my neighbors are saying and doing, everything. It's time to get out of this h-hole. There's much nicer options in the area. You've been forewarned.

I've been living here in Lofts at Riverwalk for about ten years and my experience keeps getting…read morebetter, not worse. I still can't believe how well managed this property is. Ladies from the office could not be nicer and more helpful, especially the Manager, Ms. Savannah Cox. Chuck and Jacob from Maintenance team solve any problem in the "house" promptly, they really do a fantastic job. Some people complain about infestation. I don't have roaches, but I ask Pest Control to spray the loft a couple of times a year as a preventive measure. Most problems come from not-so-nice neighbors, be it not picking up after their dogs, disturbing the peace or going bonkers in many different ways. But they are not majority and I don't mean in Congress. Broken gates get fixed and then broken again. It is what it is. I am happy living here.

They don't answer the phone when you call the office. The apartment is laughable. We found rat shit in our shower when we moved in- they claim they spray for bugs, but we watched our maintenance workers purposely ignore parts of the house. The internet provider they make you take is horrible. WOW is an awful company with terrible support. If you lose internet, just upgrade! That's obviously your fault for not wanting to pay MORE! They won't replace the equipment outside, so they keep sending people inside the apartments. I was looking forward to this place, but it's clear they only raise the rent to upgrade the pools, tennis courts and the office. Go check out their new sauna, I'm sure it'll make up for the no water in your apartment. EDIT: I have TRIED to contact your office about this. Please do not tell me to reach out and call or WALK in when there is no one there- overall super disrespectful of our time and rent, that we pay on time, every time.

There are fees on fees on fees. It's worse than dealing with an HOA. Maintenance is great and honestly the only reason I could stand the thought to renew. The leasing office is new but the apartments are old and look nothing like they do on the website.
