They say they will stand behind them but not really true. Bought my mom a big plant for Mothers Day. It really never bloomed much and then died and dried up. My mom definitely has a green thumb. She tried to exchange it but no luck. So I went in to talk to them about a return for a different plant and was told sorry nothing we can do. You would think they would care more about regular customers buy I guess not. I was quite surprised they didn't really care. I won't ever go back and will be sure to share my experiences.

I called the store and the man who answered was very rude, never apologized and said "it's a busy time of year." He then told me it had been delivered. When I told him it was not, I was told, "maybe you'll have better luck with another florist." I ended the call. He called back to say the arrangement was still sitting in their back room and has not been delivered. Despite not being delivered four days after it was supposed to be, they charged my account earlier in the week. Horrible customer service. Still no product, despite being charged for the arrangement and the delivery.

The arrangement was not delivered until May 15th and was not the arrangement that I had ordered. When I called to Schroeder's to inquire about this, Karen basically told me that they were catching up from deliveries that could not be delivered on Mother's Day. No apology, nothing. Everything digressed from there. I was not asking for a refund nor did I mention it, however, I think that an acknowledgement and apology would have been nice. I am assuming that this is their normal operating procedure. I guess that I should feel lucky that my mom eventually received her flowers.

After 3 months, we dug it up and took it back. We were told that it was last years stock, and there is no guarantee on sale items. It would have been nice if we were told that when we purchased the shrub, since if we had known they sell plants that are not alive, why would we have bought it. I have NEVER purchased a plant that did not live in my life, until we went to Van Zeeland's. Obviously, I will never go back again to purchase over priced, no guarantee stock from them.

We always get all the help we need from Grant and Joan and they are always so gracious with suggestions and even pot our plants for us when we bring in our containers. I would not think of going anywhere else UNLESS they did not have what I was looking for. Their parents also help out with running the cash register and Sue is as pleasant as they come with the dad always offering to help load our car, etc., etc. GREAT family run business and it's in the Suamico neighborhood so we are happy to support them and their hard work!!

She was looking for moss roses, which they also don't carry. She was interested in another flower they did have but the employee we were talking to was distracted by a vehicle that had pulled in. Clearly a friend, as she abruptly left stating the lady needed help and left us standing there. Another employee came by without acknowledging us. I told my mom that we were done. They were not interested in our business. We went to Wery's where they are always happy, friendly and knowledgeable. They also have moss roses and veggies.
