First, my experience as an avid golfer. Then, prior reviews. Golf - scheduled in advance* a 7:16 tee time and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Brian and Elliot were friendly/welcoming, sharing that I was third off the tee and behind two local ladies that were walking , so forewarned it could be slow. The conditions were perfect, fairways freshly manicured and greens a bit spongy from late night/early morning rain, but still rolled well. I caught up to the walking group on hole three and at hole four they had stepped aside and kindly let me play through. Their names were Loray and Kathy, they were lovely. Overall, the course was fun, in pretty good condition and offered unique challenges due to its layout. I finished 18 in 2-ish hours. I would definitely recommend this course to folks visiting Helena. I had even left a divot remover in the cart only to receive a phone call from Elliot informing me, as we was aware I was out of state and didn't want me to lose out on personal belongings. Not many folks do that. Now. Prior reviews: - To Mark, slow play is common and not reason to rate the course zero stars. - To Jack, Sunday's at any course are typically booked solid. I think it fortunate the course was able to accommodate your begging request to play, albeit only able to fit you onto the regulation and not the desired par 3. Had you planned accordingly and in advance*, I'm certain you would have had a much different experience. Nobody wears sweats and beaters on the course anymore ;). The one star rating aligns more with your failure to following the six P's, cause most know Proper, Prior, Planning, Prevents, Poor, Performance. read more

Was here on a work trip and was able to play the course. We booked a tee time and ran into bad weather. Pro shop lady was relatively rude. We ended up playing 18 but felt an extreme amount of pressure to finish quickly due to the men's league starting 2.5 hours after our tee time. The course itself is pretty average for the cost ( paying for a decent view and mountains). The carts were pretty old and had trouble making it up hills. The greens were a bit inconsistent and hole placement was questionable. Overall if you're looking to golf in the area I'd recommend driving an hour or so to play a different course. read more

Slowest golf course in the NW. 4 hours in and on 14. Called for a Marshall and he is worthless. Never ever again ZERO stars So more details on slow play... we had 3 to 4 groups backed up on most tees on the back and from places could see holes open in front of us... once again the Marshall did nothing to address what was obviously a group holding up the course... I play all over the state 4-5 times a week... not my first rodeo and to be fair the course was in pretty good shape , simply mismanaged! read more

I was extremely disappointed in my experience at fox ridge golf course, I was in town for the weekend visiting my brother, Sunday we decided to go golfing, as begging golfers we hoped to get on the the par 3 course they have. My brother called for a tee time they were able to get us in at 3:00 pm, which would have worked great, however we were out onto the actual course.(Should have known due to how expensive it was). We thought we may be able ti get 9 holes done but no, we did not get to tee off on hole one until roughly 4:15. Once again nit expecting to golf on the actual course we did not dress for the occasion, after they rudely asked me to drive home to change after eating an hour and fifteen minutes to tee off I said no. I continued to the hole and the whole 9 holes the cart martial was following us keeping an eye on us as if we were going to ruin the course. Eventually we were hungry and ordered food from the cart, we expected to enjoy our food during our round but instead right before we teed off on the last hole, our food arrived cold and under cooked and tasted very disappointing. One thing we learned is if you don't look the way the want you to you are treated differently and unfairly So all in all, steer clear of fox ridge golf course! read more

Doesn't allow a 5th person not playing to be with a foursome. Did the first 5 holes split as 3 and 2. Twosome behind us told us to join up to speed up the playing so we did. They said it wouldn't matter. Shortly after, the Gestapo told me to get off the course. I told him we were told by the group behind us to join up. The Gestapo said they don't run the course, he does. Constantly improving the turf. Friendly staff. Flexible tee times. Not super busy; seldom do you get pushed on the course.

Decent burgers and fries. Didn't try anything else on the menu but though their burgers were 4 stars out of 5.

If you're looking to play one round in Helena, look no further. This is the course you want to play. A true country course with a fair layout and fair greens. You'll want to play it again as soon as you play it once. read more

This is a review of the Red Fox Supper Club at the Fox Ridge Golf course. My family went there for Mother's Day for the brunch special. We were extremely disappointed in the quality of food. The food tasted like low end cafeteria food. Everything was set out buffet style which isn't really a bad thing in and of itself. The problem was that the majority of the entree's were over cooked. For example, the English muffin for the eggs benedict was very overcooked so the English muffin couldn't even be cut with a knife and the hollandaise sauce was not really hollandaise sauce, meats were tough and overly salty. The orange juice was extremely watered down. The mimosa's were horrible from the watered down juice and the waitress even admitted she probably put too much water in the concentrate. This meal was very disappointing especially when one can't afford to eat out very often and then we decide to splurge for a special occasion. Will not eat here again. read more
