I gotta say I'm pretty surprised at some of the ratings I've found for Fox Jewelry. I can't really speak on the experience of others, but in my own, Fox has been one amazing experience after another. First off, a little background on myself. I used to be in the jewelry industry for a decent number of years (hey, don't let the young face fool ya!) so I've got a decent knowledge when it comes to jewelry. Outside of that, I'm one of those research-before-purchase buyers who spends days and sometimes weeks pouring over information before I make a decision on even a medium purchase. Nick (Navid) has been my jeweler for the past 5 or 6 years and the man is a professional. The level of service he provides is beyond my expectations and over the years, I've learned to trust in his advice. If you're looking for a diamond, they've got literally hundreds of diamonds so you're almost guaranteed to find something that fits the bill, but when they didn't have it one time, Nick went out of his way to find the certified stone for me. In fact, when I went to look at it, he produced 4 stones all matching my criteria for me to pick from. They've also got a huge inventory of styles in everything to rings and earrings to necklaces and bangles and everything in between. I've sent friends to him and have since been to 5 weddings where the brides (and two grooms) are wearing rings from Fox. But understand I'm NOT saying to go blindly and buy. Be smart! Do some comparison shopping. They're located in the jewelry district in downtown LA so comparison shopping is easy and convenient. Check out prices and quality from a few jewelers and compare. It won't cost you more than a bit of your time and if you don't feel great about it, walk away, just do yourself a favor and make sure Fox is on your list of places to visit! read more

Ordered custom ring with my father's ruby. Haven't taken it off since I picked up. We ordered our wedding rings at the same time and since we are a couple in our 70's it couldn't have been a better experience. read more

Selection is ok. Was attended by saleswoman Maria who had a terrible attitude, I tried two bracelets and she told me, "I will only show you one more item" - like from the hundreds of items there are in the store I as a customer don't get to look and pick what I like for expensive gold jewelry I will be wearing for many years to come. I was very specific and only picked what I liked, and was getting 2 out of 3 items I tried to treat myself. One was a bracelet with diamonds, and the other a bracelet with yellow/white/rose gold, about $4700 for both. When she told me she would only show me one more item. The was no other customer and both she and her coworker were idle. It doesn't even make sense. Anyway, Really unfortunate and disappointing experience. For $2500 I can get a nice Tiffany's or David Yurman bracelet in 18k, with extraordinary customer service in a luxe environment. It's literally Tiffany's Price with an attitude worse than the DMV in the middle of the squalor of DTLA and you can't even treat your prospective customer with courtesy. read more

I can't say enough positive things about my experience here. I don't remember the man's name but he was so incredible, accommodating, helpful, and understanding. Great selection of diamonds and bands AND he was willing to make anything I wanted. I got a gorgeous 3 carat diamond (E, VVS1) engagement ring for under $3k. Definitely coming here for our wedding bands and recommending it to all!! read more

Navid (Nick) is horrible. The customer service here is atrocious. Marco is not much better but barely recovered the experience after being rude - he CYA'd himself when he realized I'm not the one. They're not the only show in town. DON'T COME HERE!!!! read more

I have been going to Fox for 20+ years. Took my wedding ring (that was purchased by my husband from Fox) to get resized and they made my ring look like new. Nick and crew are always helpful and pleasant to deal with. read more

Nice quality great prices. Bought a engagement ring for my wife there. Wiukd recommend.

RIPOFFS! They sold me a fake gemstone. They wrote a bogus appraisal that didn't hold up anywhere. Not a single jeweler I went to would buy the ring off of me. Avoid these scam artists. read more

Fox Jewelry has been in our family for 30+ years and counting. I cannot recommend a more professional, honest, and trustworthy jeweler than Navid. Everyone at Fox makes you feel comfortable during the buying process by going above and beyond. They make you feel like family there. Every time we go to Fox, we have an awesome experience buying good quality jewelry for a fair price. I wouldn't want to buy my jewelry anywhere else. read more

Today I purchased my 25 year anniversary ring from Navid. I bought my very first wedding ring from Fox in 1996. I highly recommend Fox Jewelry. Very helpful and honest. read more

Today I went in with my fiance to upgrade the ring I purchased from Fox less than a year ago. (Ana assisted me then). Before purchasing the 1 ct round diamond, Ana told me that if we ever decided to upgrade, that Fox Jewelry would offer me the full price of my initial purchase towards my new upgrade. The owner appeared to want to build a relationship with us at that time. Today, however, assuming we had established a relationship with Fox, we decided to return to Fox to upgrade. Unfortunately, we realized that the owner did not care about the relationship since we were NOT offered anything near the price we paid for our ring. In fact, we told him that another jeweler nearby had offered us more than he was offering us for his OWN ring. So, the owner told us to go elsewhere! He didn't care to lose a customer. We went elsewhere, and yes, we gave our business to someone else. read more

I won't be going anywhere else! My father and mother in law both have their rings made from him. Thank you so much for the awesome service and being so patient with us! We appreciate you and will be coming back! read more

In 2004 I bought a beautiful diamond ring from navid. I literally receive at least 5 compliments each time I wear it. At one point during the first year one of the small diamonds fell out and he replaced it- no problem, but asked that I bring it in once a year for cleaning and to make sure all of the stones are secure, which I do. He is very professional and thorough, and I highly recommend him. read more

I ran into this company while at the Gem and Mineral Show in Arizona... they seemed very nice while we were looking at rings. My husband and I were looking for a push present for myself and a fancier wedding band for him. We put down a deposit for rings that supposedly had high quality sapphires and diamonds. While we continued shopping at other booths in the exhibition, we realized we had not been given a good deal at all, and that the so-called high quality stones/gems were quite cheap. The diamonds on the rings were cheap quality/color and were misrepresented during the sale- they would not offer an appraisal to back up their claims on their quality. The merchant did not want to return our money even though it was literally less than 2 hours since we'd left a deposit. He hadn't made any investment or changes to the rings we had selected, but claimed he'd be losing money if he refunded our deposit. I let him know I would be cancelling the transaction with the bank and he said: "We'll see you in court". Since at this point we hadn't received anything for our deposit, our bank was happy to stop payment but we did get to see the true colors of the people who run Fox Jewelry. I would NOT recommend them to ANYONE. Dealing with them was a hassle and took all the joy out of what should have been a great experience. read more

Amazing prices ! Don't go anywhere else in LA! They have best quality and very friendly

It's about time I make a review on here. Nick, Nancy and the rest of the staff are the absolute best and provide the best service. Whenever we need jewelry now we go straight to Nick first. A few months ago I was looking for a wedding band and hadn't found any I liked. I looked through their catalog, found one but wanted it to be all in gold instead of tricolor as originally shown. It was slightly over budget but I knew that one was it. Unfortunately, Nick later informed me that the manufacturer didn't make that ring anymore. He said he'd work something out but it would be a special order and likely cost more. I let him know I couldn't spend anymore and he said to give him time to figure something out. Well I got my ring, it was perfect, and best of all Nick didn't charge me a cent more regardless of it being a special order. Since then we have bought other pieces of jewelry from here. I highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for a trustworthy, reliable, no BS jeweler. read more

Navid has been my Jeweler since 1994. My husband and I were shopping for a diamond for my wedding ring. I own some high end jewelry so we consider ourselves well studied and knowledgable buyers. Sounds like we are a little more sophisticated than a few of the negative reviewers here that might not have too much experience with better jewelry and uncomfortable with their own level of education and ability to judge the quality of merchandise. Navid showed us many beautiful stones. His prices seemed competitive, every diamond he showed us was certified and had the certificate describing the stone. We found a beautiful two carat diamond with excellent color that we loved. We asked him to hold it 'while we ate lunch' but after lunch, we used the time to shop and see what else was available on the street. Nothing was even close to the quality of the stone for the price he offered it. When my stone was to be set, we took the stone ourselves, escorted by someone from his staff. I sat in the same room and watched my stone mounted into the setting. The stone never left left my sight. So this operation is anything but deceptive. It is first class all the way. That was the first of many happy purchases. He has beautiful unique pieces, a huge inventory of stones and settings on premise and competitive pricing. I really don't know what else someone could want in a Jeweler. read more

Best place for fine jewelry. Great service, superb quality and best deals. The staff and the owner are honest and doesn't sugar-coat just to make the sell. Very knowledgeable in terms of Diamond specifications and willing to over and beyond our expectations. read more

Navid has been my family jeweler for two generations now. My mother introduced me to Navid back in the 90's. I recently went in to upgrade my wife's ring and as usual left there with a happy wife!! Always the best value stands behind all purchases. I have taken multiple friends to purchase their engagement rings and all have not only purchased but are also very happy. Head to Fox if you are in the market! read more

Great! I got my engagement and wedding bands there. They look amazing and they fully customize it for you if you want. If you get white gold or platinum get the rhodium playing (I get mine done annually) and it literally looks like a mirror. Prices are great too read more

I went to Fox Jewelry this week to purchase a diamond and a setting from Navid. He came HIGHLY RECCOMENDED from a few of my friends, and I was given amazing service and was able to purchase a beautiful stone with setting for much less than I had expected. He was fair, completely honest, and he never tried to up-sell me. He actually talked me out of buying a more expensive stone! Navid was much more interested in gaining a long term client than a turn and burn sale. Because it was a surprise, I asked him if I could exchange it for something else if my girlfriend didn't like it. He said he would always give me the original price back toward the purchase of another ring or stone. I got engaged, and my fiance' loves the ring! I highly recommend Fox Jewelry to someone who might be looking for high quality at an affordable price. Thanks, Navid! read more

My fiance got my engagement ring here and I had to go back in today to get it resized. Marco who helped my partner select the ring also helped me with resizing. I didn't have the receipt, for obvious reasons, but he was fine with that and recognized the ring. I can see why Freddie (my fiance) decided to buy from here as they are very particular and genuinely helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend buying from them! Thanks again Marco! read more

We upgraded our wedding sets for our 30th anniversary. Navid gave us a very fair trade in value on rings we purchased elsewhere. The cost of the new set was great! My wife is ecstatic. Brought them back a year later for checkup and re-rhodium. Navid remembered us. Great company!!! read more

I went there looking for a pair of earrings, I looked all over downtown and could not find the design that my wife liked. Till I stopped by Fox, he had by far the most selection of earrings along with other jewelry items. The owner Navid listened to exactly what I wanted and brought out 3 different pairs of different sizes of the design. His quality and price was unbelievable, to the point that I bought 2 more pairs for my twin daughters also. I definitely recommend him and will go to him again. read more

I have had the pleasure of purchasing from Fox Jewelry and Navid for a number of years. Each transaction has been completely hassle-free. He has never tried to hard sell me on any jewelry, and in fact, he has been patient and thoughtful in making certain I found the right stones, the right settings and all in my price range. He does not work hard to "upsell" me--he just helps me find what I am looking for. He has a huge array of items, and if he doesn't have something I am looking for, he simply asks me to send him a picture and his craftsmen are happy to make something identical. I have shopped for jewelry on 47th Street in NYC, I have shopped for jewelry in high end retail stores, and I have never found the value and quality to be anything close to what Fox Jewelry has been able to sell me through the years. Every single piece I have ever purchased has appraised for more. I absolutely recommend Fox Jewelry and say you will not be disappointed. As a side note, the people who were not happy with Fox Jewelry do not seem like they are legitimate buyers. And none of what they have reported makes any sense. The one time I changed my mind and decided I didn't like a piece shortly after purchasing it, he happily traded it out for another piece without any questions or concerns. Fox's only focus has been on my satisfaction as a customer. I shop for jewelry all over the place, but I will continue to only purchase jewelry from Fox for as long as I get the service, quality and integrity that they continue to offer. Outstanding company and I highly recommend Fox! read more
