The principal there thinks she knows what is best for every student and to say such a thing is ignorance. My child has passing grades reads and spells great but they have put A bull's-eye on the back of my child since kindergarten because he's just not interested in the curriculum. I recommend you take your child to…read moreMHS over the charter schools in this area any day, as MHS offers strong academic opportunities, including Dual Enrollment (DE) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, along with a wide variety of sports and clubs for students to get involved in. However, the school does have a bullying problem. I wish I could say the school handles it properly, but unfortunately, not all of the staff deal with the issue effectively. There were times when the students weren't the ones being rude, and it was actually the other way around.:( Fortunately, the instructor who was rude towards the students is no longer working at the school. Overall, while there is a bullying issue among the students, this school is a great choice for your child, as they would complete most of their prerequisites. Not only that, the school environment had improved when my brother was a student attending there, and it had added new courses for students to take, and it is continuing to improve each year.
