I'd like to add that if you have had a different experience with this school and the five year old classroom than what my son and I had to endure, that is great. I would never want any child to be treated maliciously, so if you are a lucky parent and she was nice to your children, I am genuinely happy for you. I am speaking from my own experience with this teacher, and my experience was and is still valid. She is lucky I am being vague about what my child had to experience with her as a teacher. I as a parent am writing this review out of genuine concern for every child that enters this school's well being. Beware of biased reviews from friends of teachers at this school who do not have the children's best interest at heart, and instead are leaving reviews to help their friend's egos.

It's saddening to see a review that talks illy about the 5's teacher. I hope that if you read that review, then you also read this one as well. Great Beginnings has been nothing but a pleasure to be apart of. Day in and day out, I know that the people in that place are filled with light and God's glory. Their intent is to raise up a child in the ways they should go, "Proverbs 22:6. Train up a child in the way he should go;". There has NEVER been a moment where I did not trust or depend on a GB teacher to guide my children accordingly. Specifically, Ms. Mandy has prepared 2/3 of my kids for pre-k and has done nothing but a wonderful job. She has challenged them, loved on them, and prepared them to know what to expect in Kindergarten. (And I'm not sure if you know what the education system is like nowadays but it's ROUGH). Realizing that there are moments where she needed to be tough to ensure that my child would be successful was apart of my job as the PARENT. I knew for a fact that she had no ill intent. She is HIGHLY qualified for the job, as both of my boys are gifted in Math. Let me echo this again, She knows what she is doing. I have recommended countless families to GB and will continue to do so. Pleasing everyone in this world is impossible. But, I can vouch and say that GB is one of the best places you can bring your child if you're looking for curriculum that is filled with the truths of God and love of Jesus, teachers who know what they are doing and enjoy it, and a place that you can trust.

We have learned more from him than we have from any other Catholic Church we have ever attended. He doesn't "speak down" to his congregation as I have seen other priests do in the past, but instead talks to us. He isn't afraid to hold tough conversations and has brought about a welcoming experience for all ages.

I have attended St Thomas for over 3 years and have seen it grow and change. Father John was…read morerefreshing at first, but as many people have shared - he inserts politics into the sermon often. I, along with many, find him quite opinionated. I have responded to emails with questions or concerns, but not once have I ever received a response. It feels like Father John is trying to compete with other Christian churches (CCV?) and possibly even change STM. I have a problem with big, professional music groups being paid. I questioned if all musicians were registered STM members and never heard back. Let's not forget our roots and the beautiful songs that have meaning to most of us. The modern is great but alot of us miss the old stuff. We should not move so far away from those. Father John proclaims from the alter that he is here for us- the people. But when asked if he could spare 15-20 minutes to meet, he blatantly states he does not do that. What priest does not have time for his parishioners?!! I find his emails to the congregation lacking in love, understanding and softness. It seems Father John has changed (ego?) since he was giving full authority over St Thomas More. Starting to church shop again.....
