Two and a half years later we discover that they left a whole back dormer undone and which explained the gradual leak we were having in our basement over that time and which we attributed to other sources. That company lied through their teeth and ignored us when we confronted them with this discovery. After getting quotes from other (rather dismissive) roofing companies to get this part done we came across Refined Roofing and were struck by the professional and very pleasant attitude of Renaud and Ian. They listened, were understanding, reassured us, gave us a reasonable final quote and their team did a fantastic job. Thank you Refined Roofing for changing our opinion of the roofing profession in Halifax!

After careful consideration, Companion Roofing seemed the best fit for me with regards to price, materials, and reviews from customers (plus an A+ BBB accredidation). Chris was patient in immediately addressing all of my concerns and was flexible on our project timeline. He consulted me about some mould issues with the roof plywood as well as the advanced rusting state of my chimney before going forward with solutions to both. His crew was friendly, efficient and very respectful of our property and those of our neighbours. AND: the job was priced well below what I expected, (even after the unexpected mould discovery). To top it all off they finished a lot sooner than I expected and, with the exception of the beautiful new roof, you'd never know they were here. Thank you Chris and crew for a job well done. * * * Save your time and money by calling them first. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMPAINION ROOFING
