I was really only here to browse, but then he began to tell me about the various cleaning products that they offer, as well as some beauty products (hand soaps etc.). I was intrigued by the eco-friendly laundry detergent and ended up buying a bottle of that. Selling bio/organic products is only a side business for Blanc though, their main business is dry-cleaning and tailoring. Mental note to self: I still have that jacket that needs mending...

Now that I'm in Camden, I generally head to A&K for all the little bits and peices of kitchen and other assorted household stuff I may need (for those who have done time in the states, I often go here for the random sorts of things that used to have me Target-bound). They are not infallible, nor would I go there for sparkling service (not bad mind, they just basically leave you alone), but I find that if I can't find something random in A&K, there's a decent chance I won't find it anywhere else nearby either.

We only has USD and Euro on had, but he directed us to an ATM right across the street so we could get some Pounds to pay for the machines. You have the option of giving them your clothes and they will wash, dry or press for you, or you can pay for the washer and dryer and they will supply the soap. The owner was kind and patient with us as we got out things out the suitcases, even gave us some privacy as we got out items into the washer. The mat is intimate with some lovely coffee shops so you can have a bite to eat while waiting on your clothes.

This and you just don't get the mileage out of leather soles. Which means you keep needing to replace them as well as having wet feet which is expensive as well as damp. I've had this pair a few years and rarely wear them but they're very comfortable and so I thought I'd give them a new lease of life. I have also been thinking about switching a few pairs of my leather soled shoes to Dainite soles which are the regular non-leather alternative for a quality shoe. So I dropped them into James and got these Vibram soles put on. In a tasteful blue with cool detailing visible on the side, they look the part, they will wear much better than the previous rubber soles and they'll keep my feet dry too!
