Park right outside the door and take your appetite and taste buds inside this deli cum greengrocers, you're in for a treat. The fruit and veg are fab, although for the quality you will pay a bit more then Tesco/Asda bulk selling prices, but hey, you're worth it. There's also a lovely range of relishes, chutneys and jams which also look good in yout kitchen. Again a bit more expensive than the supermarket but in a different league.
Move to the deli counter and while you're waiting sample the 'cheese of the week', watching out for the chilli cheddar which actually made my eyes water. The deli counter has coleslaws, salads, squid, cheeses and potato salad etc. Calorie city! I have saved my personal favourite till the end - the lasagne, chicken bake and champ all made instore. In fact if you go in at the right time of day, you can see the lasagne actually being made. The lasagne is the ultimate comfort food and has that homemade thing going on without any of the work. It's cheesy, tomatoey, meaty lovlieness. Is it shameful that I've passed it off as my own?
You can also buy take away chicken salads and homemade soup for lunch on the go. Oh, don't forget to grab a bunch of flowers as you go in, the tulips are cheap as the chips you'll have with your lasagne. read more
