I pointed out an area that I wanted it installed with the understanding they would adjust as needed once they could lay it out in the attic. On the first day I noticed a wire running across the opening for the lift which would prevent using the lift. They were able to correct that but then mounted the hardware incorrectly which prevented the lift from retracting into the opening. They blamed the motors but there was no problem with them at all. I had to remove and reinstall the mounting hardware in order to allow the lift to go all the way into the attic. I asked for some of the $3500 I paid back but was told no. I will not use their services again.

Drew's enthusiasm while giving the quote and promoting his abilities and experience ultimately led me to select him for this "simple" job; unfortunately, it the job couldn't have gone more wrong. Please beware of Drew and his son Adrian (of Splintered Gentry Woodworks) and their poor craftsmanship when working with wood and stain (damaged deck boards when removing items, moss and dirt not removed during pressure washing, inaccurate angle cuts, denied he rebuilt a rotted planter to different dimensions, runs and pools of dripped stain, missed staining areas, purchased imperfect and damaged replacement boards, removed screws but used only nails rather than screws as he had stated, told me pressure treated wood lattice is no longer sold at Home Depot or Lowe's while both were in stock, and FINALLY, used my A/C unit as their ladder causing the domed motor-housing cover to cave in). It's also unfortunate that Drew and his son took zero ownership of their poor workmanship even when I pointed out flaws, wrong measurements, and other ineptitudes of their work.
