...Where do I begin. There are no words to describe how talented Max is. The wedding industry is so…read morelucky to have Max given his amazing creative interests and unique artistic vision. My husband and I got married on September 5th, 2015 and used Max Flatow for both our engagement shoot and wedding. He was so flexible and really cared about what we wanted, and went out of his way to ensure we were always happy and satisfied (two perfect examples: 1. he offered us a second engagement shoot when my husband and I decided there would not be enough time on my wedding day to shoot near the Brooklyn Bridge Park, and 2. He went to preview our venue in Staten Island a week prior to the wedding since he had never worked there before). Max is so friendly and personal, and we always felt comfortable with him. He captured gorgeous shots (the lighting, the energy, the emotion... uuuhh beautiful) without ever being intrusive, and provides such gentle guidance while shooting. He brings so much passion and professionalism to his work - every detail is beautiful (even the USB stick with our photos). I give my highest recommendation to Max Flatow Photography! He was our absolute favorite vendor to work with!

Max is a true professional, and a stellar photographer. He makes you feel comfortable and confident in the moment, and he has an incredible eye for photography. We did some shots in Fort Greene Park and the surrounding neighborhood before our ceremony, and Max directed us at every turn and created some gorgeous, very Brooklyn-esque photos. We could not be happier with his work, and to top it off, he's a super nice person!! Our guests loved him and expressed all the same sentiments. Thank you, Max!

There is so much more to wedding photography than shooting and editing. Lauren is quite good at both of those things, but her star attribute is her confidence and ability to direct, frame, capture and highlight. My wife and I do not find ourselves to be photogenic people, but Lauren made us feel like rockstars. She is a true creative who puts passion into all of her photography projects. During the planning process, Lauren was extremely proactive in getting to know us and our families. We had a lengthy FaceTime chat, corresponded via email, and filled out an in-depth survey about ourselves, the wedding, the people in it, and all of the important shots/portraits we wanted. She came to our rehearsal the night before to meet everyone, and she and I went to the venue morning of to scout locations. She has such an attention to detail, and works hard for the client to make sure everything is perfect. When it comes to the most important moments and events in your life, hire a true professional. Lauren is just that, and we can't begin to express how much we enjoyed working with her. Thanks, Lauren!

Lauren catches those perfect moments every time. From wedding photos to birthday photography, she can basically do it all. She came highly recommended from a friend who just did a birthday shoot with her, and after looking at the portfolio, It was clear she was the right choice. My photos came out perfectly, and that's even with my pterodactyl shaped face. Definitely first choice when I'm on the East Coast. Will have her do more work for me soon. Thanks Lauren!

In a time when anyone and everyone seems to be calling themselves a photographer, its refreshing to know there are still trained professionals out there who can give you the photos you dreamed of. We are so grateful for her time and energy! She held our hands through the entire process, and made sure we felt comfortable. We highly recommend her to everyone, especially those with small children. She's magic!!

Like every other previous session, she brought her energetic spirit and magnetic charisma behind the camera. I still don't know how, but she manages to capture so many moments of candid magic. Whether indoor or outdoor, pre-planned or off-the-cuff, Meredith never fails to bring out the absolute best in us with every session. A good photographer may take flattering pictures, but Meredith is an artist that captures moments. The emotions and actions in front of her lens are perfectly preserved in time and I cannot stress how much of a difference it makes to be able to look at her work and see the joy and love expressed in it. The Products: By now we've enjoyed several products that I think I can provide a recommendation here. 1.) First and foremost is the album. Whether you go with the leather, linen, or the hardcover, get yourself an album! Regular albums contain a series of photographs that are nice to look at, but what you'll put together with Meredith is a story captured in images. The narrative you build with her is woven into the album in a way that you just can't replicate by yourself. It may not seem all that significant if this is your first album, but you'll understand it a year from now when you look back. 2.) The think the gallery canvases are the best way to display your moments on the walls of any room. The quality of the images are excellent and worth every penny. I recommend using them in a 2- or 3-part series if you have a wall that can accommodate. 3.) The crystal trio is what regular acrylic frames wish they could do. With the image professionally affixed to the block, there is no wear and tear on the image, no magnets to rub up against the photo, just a perfectly preserved picture with a high quality acrylic block that creates a beautiful effect that you don't get with anything else. The moments that you want to revisit over and over again are the ones you want to preserve in these. 4.) The digital collection is my personal favorite. Take the images and throw them on your smart TV or whatever streaming device you use and you've got yourself a big screen digital frame. Set them as a slide show in your screen saver or background on your computer or phone and you can enjoy them in your office. If figuring out the order to display the photos is not something you want to spend time doing, the image slideshow Meredith produces are an exceptional way to get the "story" feel from the album in a digital form. TL;DR: If you want to preserve the meaningful moments in your life or those around you, this is your photographer. Get her scheduled now and you can come back and read this review later.
