I've moved to Berlin with an artist visa, focusing on photography and I love this place! I shoot a lot of film and need it to be developed and this is my place. Really quick service, really low prices (especially coming from San Francisco, where places like this are dying and charge way too much), and friendly. I use a point and shoot and range finder 35mm film camera for street and personal photography. I experiment with a lot of different films and the guys here really know how to to make the best of it! For example, if you're into lomography, plastic camera's, experimenting with different 120 and 35mm film, and want to achieve some crazy color and effects (that style instagram and hipstamatic is faking) they can defiantly do it well! Just ask them to "cross or push process." I also did my passport photos here. Really cheap and they even let you choose a good photo and do some quick touching up with photoshop for loose hair and whatever. I saw a quote that said "When you look like your passport photo it's time to go home." Now you can go home happy, haha! read more

I came by to get biometric (5 euro) and professional photos (10 euro) and was very pleased with the results! The pictures were very professional-looking, don't be deterred by the small size of the shop. The photographer took many shots, then asked me to choose my favorites. Then he Photoshop'ed my top choices, printed them out, and sent them to me via email. Highly recommend this foto shop! read more

I shoot colour and b/w film on different formats and I often push on the development, here its all possible! The shop owner Engin is really helpful and enthusiastic about photography. The development happens in the house, nothing gets send forward, hes havin a large lab behind the store front. The prices here are also unbeatable. Highly recommended! read more

Developed a few rolls of 120, C41 here. It was unusually cheap so I should have known better. The development was ok but the negs came back very dirty, you name it, drop marks, folds, scratches and lots of dust. Its as if they never clean their tanks or maintain their equipment. most of my film was so dirty is was unusable. I rewashed everything at another darkroom and it helped but some of the damage is in the emulsion. Unfortunately I was just passing through Berlin so I didn't realize until after I left and began scanning so I couldn't go back to ask what was up. The staff were pretty nice but it seems their business is focused on passpost photos. or maybe good if youre shooting lomo and want the crap beat out of your negs. read more

If you find yourself in need of any photos or photo related services, I would absolutely recommend this little shop. The guy helping us (I'm sorry, I have forgotten his name!) was super helpful, very very friendly and amazing with kids. It's a small shop, with various old cameras on display and for sale. Many seemed to be Polaroid. They also had little frames, camera accessories, film and they had a steady stream of customers come in and out to drop off film and pick up pictures so I'm sure the picture quality is great. Personally, I had to stop in to get passport photos for my german Visa. One employee was actively doing a photo shoot for two business women, and so the second guy was helping everyone else and it was quite busy. We did not have an appointment but he moved fast. In between helping another guy with his photos, he fit in taking passport photos of me and my 3 kids. My daughter was getting impatient waiting and he even came over to pick her up and hand her random things to explore while we waited- he would take one of our photos- help a few customers that had come in, take another one of our photos, help more customers. He often interrupted himself to help another customer or even us. Multitasking is wonderful but I also feel we would have been out of there in half the time if he had focused on just us as it was our turn... But, that didn't take away from how friendly and accommodating he was, and how great with my kids. He even got a cute smile out of my very shy, unfriendly-with-strangers 5 year old! Impressive! He was even amazing enough to replace one of my daughters visa photos (they come in a 4 pack of photos), with one of her smiling so sweetly at him but it didn't qualify for visa photo because my arm was in the way. He still printed one out for me in place of one of the 4 visa photos. I was very impressed he did that for us, and now I have a very cute keepsake photo. If I ever needed more photo related services I'd come here. read more

After taking some time to understand what I wanted, he explained how it worked in terms of prices etc, and we went for the shooting. It was a very simple job. And yet, it was obvious to me that he had a lot of experience. One can easily notice that photography is his passion. That's what makes a good artist, a good professional. Der Fotograf ist klasse! Ich habe noch nie erlebt, dass man sich so viel Mühe gibt - und das dann auch noch zu so einem günstigen Preis! Ich habe mich lange vor Bewerbungsfotos gedrückt und immer wieder alte oder selbst gemachte Fotos verwendet, weil ich mit solchen Fotos vom Fotografen häufig nicht zufrieden war. Dann habe ich die positiven Bewertungen hier gelesen und nachdem ich wusste, dass man Bewerbungsbilder bei Foto Kotti schon ab 5 Euro (4er Ausdruck + nur 5 Euro zusätzlich für die Fotodatei inklusive professioneller Fotobearbeitung !!) bekommt, dachte ich mir, das kann man ja mal probieren. Zuerst war ich aufgrund der Lage (direkt am Kottbusser Tor, nicht gerade die sauberste Ecke) und der geringen Größe des Studios etwas skeptisch, ob es tatsächlich so gut sein könnte. Aber der erste positive Eindruck war schon mal der freundliche Fotograf, der, obwohl es schon kurz vor Ladenschluss war, sehr viele Bilder in verschiedenen Posen gemacht hat. Danach ging es dann zur Bildauswahl und Retusche und das weiterhin in aller Ruhe und sehr freundlich! Bei der Retusche wurden professionell und blitzschnell noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten wie z.B. Hautunreinheiten beseitigt. Und herausgekommen ist bei mir ein Bild, auf dem der Fotograf mich so toll getroffen hat, dass ich richtig glücklich damit bin und mich gerne damit bewerbe! Kann ich also wirklich nur weiter empfehlen! read more

Ich kann diesen Fotografen nur empfehlen. Bin selbst aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen hier drauf aufmerksam geworden und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Während der Aufnahme der Bewerbungsfotos wurde sich nicht nur Zeit genommen, sondern auch oft mit hilfreichen Empfehlungen unterstützt. (Kopf einen Milimeter drehen usw.) Aus den Fotos wurden dann zusammen mit dem Fotografen die besten Motive ausgewählt. Ich selbst habe mich für zwei Varianten entschieden von denen ich dann auch noch jeweils unterschiedliche Ausschnitte (Quer- und Hochformat) erhielt. Inkl. zusätzliche digitaler Abzüge bezahlte ich 20 Euro. Auch wurde hier nochmal gezielt am Rechner nachbearbeitet mit einem Ergebnis, das nochmal ein Stück professioneller aber keineswegs zu künstlich wirkte. Lasst euch von dem niedrigen Preis nicht täuschen, hier bekommt man sehr professionelle Arbeit geboten. Bisher habe ich Qype nur passiv genutzt, aber die positive Erfahrung hier war mir Anlass mich hier anzumelden. read more

Eigentlich habe ich mich "vor der Gegend" gescheut, aber dann war meine Überraschung doch größer, wie unkompliziert und auch der Platz entsprechend harmlos war. Und leider gibt es nicht mehr so viele Läden wie diese, denn das ist wirklich ein Unikat der besonderen Art. Wunderbar. Klein, wuselig, kompetent, freundlich, schnell, Raritäten bis unter die Decke und alles immer ganz unkompliziert. Easy going. Großartig. Berlin braucht Euch, Foto Kotti, und wir alle brauchen mehr davon, statt sterile Atmosphäre und geleckte, aber weder kreative noch interessierte Mitarbeiter. Ich denke für den Dienst, den ihr mir erwiesen habt. Und immer wieder gerne wieder!!! read more

Habe auf Grund der anderen Bewertungen dort Photos für die Greencardbewerbung und den biometrischen Ausweis machen lassen. Das Ergebnis ist hervorragend und der Preis war konkurrenzlos günstig. Das eine Photo ist schon auf der Webpage und für die biometrischen hat man mir zwei Varianten gemacht, mit der Bemerkung, dass es auf das Bezirksamt ankommt, welche der beiden Varianten dort akzeptiert wird. Außerdem gibt es für die Vergesslichen auch noch eine Haarbürste, Haargummis und eine Schminkgrundausstattung. read more

Statt 200€ oder 40€ für super Bewerbungsfotos, warum nicht 10€? Gerade professionelle Bewerbungsfotos mit Anzug und Krawatte gemacht. Super freundlicher Fotograf der mich echt und nicht gekünstelt zum Lachen gebracht hat. Für 10€ 30 Fotos gemacht wovon ich 1 ausgesucht habe, bzw der Fotograf hat ein super Auge und ausgesucht. 4 Ausdrucke in verschiedenen Zuschnitten und digitale Versionen inkl. Für nur 10€! Photoshop Satan ist untertrieben, Photoshop Gott trifft's eher. read more

I highly recommend this shop. I came in to get a passport picture for a US visa and was very pleased with the results. Before taking the pictures he asked me which kind of visa I needed and then proceeded to fire away. I appreciated the photographer's patience with me because I am giggler. He took many, many pictures then asked me to choose my favorite. He photoshopped it and made friendly chitchat. I received 4 pics for 5€. :-) read more

Ich bin sehr glücklich. Habe sowohl ein Portätbewerbungsphoto (hier im Profilbild zu sehen) als auch ein Ganzkörperbewerbungsphoto machen lassen. Beide sind tiptop. Geduldig. Freundlich. Menschlich. Best photo lab in Berlin. Prices are super reasonable, turnaround is fast and the staff is helpful and nice. You might also find a cool old analogue film camera here. The place is also a bit of a mess but it somehow adds to the charm. Save some €€€ and gain quality by coming here instead of the bourgeois options in Mitte. read more

I found Foto Kotti in google / Yelp when I searched for Canada + Immigration + CIC photos . My pictures were accepted by the immigration office so Foto Kotti has done a great job. I remember they even had the photo description on the computer so I'm leaving this comment with the keywords for other people to find it too. read more
