Best fish and chips around. Great mushy peas, pies and sausages also worth a look!

The pub itself is large but cosy, with a comfy lounge for enjoying a lazy Sunday pint and a more formal dining room to tuck into some gastro grub. The Wizard serves some perfectly executed British classics packed with flavour, and stocks some lovely ales and wines. The staff are attentive and friendly, and will happily recommend a local ale to compliment your meal. which they will suggest to compliment your meal. Outside is a large beer garden with an expansive lawn perfect for children. Next door is the Wizard Tearooms which serves tea, coffee and cakes perfect for weary walkers. (Both venues are also dog friendly, which is handy if you are walking with a canine companion). A lovely country pub in one of the North's beauty spots. Well worth a visit if you are walking in the area.

A great find in the middle of the countryside…read more Just the job when you're out for a cycle and have made it up a big hill in Autumnal sunshine. I was about to turn left, but straight ahead was the pub, and with such a great name how could I cycle on? It's a traditional looking pub on the outside. And on the inside that feel is appropiately continued with flagged floors and a number of small rooms. They had a selection of ales - I had Red Storm from Macclesfield (£3.50) and sat outside on traditional wooden pub benches. Inside a variety of people were enjoying it, from ramblers, to families with kids, to couples on dates. Looks like they had a table service for those eating. Definately a place for couples to have a lovely meal on a Sunday afternoon. A good place to chill for half an hour mid-bike ride for me too. I shall revisit and eat all of the food :)

From the moment I stepped foot into the shop, I was greeted with warm smiles and a delightful aroma of freshly fried fish and chips. The menu at Tib Street Chippy offered a wide variety of options, catering to both traditional and modern tastes. I opted for their classic fish and chips, and I was blown away by the quality and flavour. The fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The chips were golden and had that ideal combination of fluffy interior and crispy exterior. It was truly a match made in culinary heaven. What impressed me the most, however, was the promptness of the service. Despite the busy evening rush, the staff at Tib Street Chippy managed to deliver my order in record time. They were efficient, ensuring that every customer received their food with minimal wait. The attention to detail and dedication to providing excellent service was evident in every interaction I had with the staff. Not only was the food exceptional and the service prompt, but the atmosphere at Tib Street Chippy was also inviting. The cozy seating area and charming decor added to the overall experience. It was clear that the owners and staff took great pride in creating a welcoming environment for their customers. In conclusion, I highly recommend Tib Street Chippy to anyone craving delicious fish and chips. The exceptional quality of the food, combined with the prompt and attentive service, make it a standout eatery. I can't wait to visit again and indulge in their mouthwatering offerings. Next time I'll try the sausage.
