The food was excellent and more than plenty. All for £16 per head is amazing. Bottled beer was Tsing Tao (?) at only £2.50. We will be there next CHristmas definitely.

The beauty of this place is as well as eating in you can take away, I think that must be where they get a great deal of their business from. As far as I know this is the only Cantonese restaurant in Middlesbrough, personally I found the food to be amazing and since then I have eaten in several other Cantonese restaurants. When we eat there the restaurant was fairly quiet but it was early in the evening, my favourite dish without a doubt was the crispy duck, I have never tasted duck that was this nice. Everyone I have spoken to raves about this place, I have never heard any bad reviews, quite the opposite everyone claims it is the best off they have ever tasted. This is perhaps why their takeaway option is so popular. Price wise I found it to be quite reasonable for the quality of food. The staff were very polite and accommodating, I would definitely recommend anyone that has not eaten here to give it a go.

Having had the longest day in history (OK, exaggeration, but it was an immensely long day) my…read moreboyfriend and I decided that we simply couldn't face cooking dinner on totally empty stomachs at 10pm at night. So, we decided on take-away. Normally we'd go for pizza or Thai, but we were feeling a little adventurous so we decided to look up Chinese take-aways on Yelp. It's my joy to report that having spotted all the grand reviews for China Jade we took a punt and it was just the job. I'm a creature of habit so I went for my usual (when I'm in Gloucestershire it's what we always have) which is a Special Curry and Special Fried Rice. My boyfriend went for something slightly more adventurous and had a Japanese Bento Box. The whole order came to around £25, which was fine as we had ordered enough food for over three people! My dishes were beautiful and utterly packed with bits, there was no scrimping on the meat and it was all pretty delicious. To my boyfriend's delight there was a lot of fish related items in my curry, which went straight on his plate as I'm not keen, and his Bento box was like a TV Dinner from the land of Plenty. He had a huge salad, breaded chicken slices, rice, little parcels of I-don't-know-what (devoured before I got a look in!) and a pot of Miso soup. I was full after about half of of my dishes, as the curry also came with chips, so was decidedly sensible and left it after that. Of course, my boyfriend continued to pick at the food for the next few hours and felt overly full afterward, but we were utterly satisfied. Service was friendly and I thought the prices were really reasonable so I was really happy. Yum!

The food is ALWAYS hot and is delivered usually on schedule give or take 10 minutes. Obviously its going to be a little longer on a peak day (fri & sat). The food is always fantastic, full of flavour and never a problem. Me and my partner always order the following. Salt & Pepper Spare Ribs (Amazing, proper full length ribs with chillis etc) Prawn toast (proper prawns ontop of the toast, not paste) Char Sui Pork no veg (you get lots of meat) with chips Beef with Ginger & Spring Onion (ask for more meat and they give it to you) with noodles or egg fried rice. All of that comes to about £16 or so. Delivery is charged but doesn't bother me.

After a bad experience with a Spanish waiter and some over zealous chilli appliance it's some Cantonese for me. The North Sea Chinese Restaurant is a good place for some serious chow down time. The venue itself is a pleasant affair and is done without actually blowing your socks off but it's clean and pleasant. The food is where it's at. Massive choice and big portions. Now we're onto something. There are loads of soups to kick start you off. I like the sour and chilli number myself and then its name your meat of choice (or vegetable though don't be aggressive with that carrot) and then whatever delicious sauce or style you want. The set menu is a good plan although be prepared to eat a feast. It's not the cheapest Chinese around but it is certainly a tasty one. One tip though. I personally would avoid the tribute nights. It's busy and loud and not my thing at all

The food is all freshly prepared and tastes great. I Have been going here for the past 5/6 years and the food is always brilliant. I've never had a bad dish. The prices aren't cheap but it's worth it with how well prepared and fresh all the food is. We tend to takeaway but when we do eat in the staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere is good. Well worth a visit!
