Formerly known as the Fort Wayne Wizards, the team was bought by Hardball Capital in 2006 and efforts began to create a complex to support the team and enhance the business area in downtown Fort Wayne. The field opened in 2009 as a partnership with Parkview Health. The now 15-year-old stadium is beautiful and much better than what you might expect. That said, if you haven't been to Fort Wayne recently, the city has really grown and it's downtown area is quite nice. Parkview Field hosts a variety of community events including a holiday light show - my reason for my most recent visit. Rental options for events include: Suite Level Lounge: Capacity 220 Lincoln Financial Event Center: Capacity 220 400 Club: Capacity 150 Meeting Room: Capacity 25 Concourse: Capacity varies The venue actually hosts around 600 non-baseball related events annually and can be used for weddings and a variety of other events. There's something about the layout that really lends itself to a beautiful light display. I love the weaving together of lights, the ballfield, and a view of downtown Fort Wayne. Parking is pretty easy to find around the field at affordable prices. There are also hotels that are super close including a Courtyard by Marriott and a Hampton Inn. I'm not quite fully informed on actual accessibility, however, I will note I had no difficulty getting where I wanted to go. Obviously, in terms of games there are some limitations and some designated areas. Since the last time I wheeled through Fort Wayne, the downtown area has vastly improved and I was quite impressed. That said, if there are concerns I'd contact the stadium for more information.

It's clean, open, next door to two hotels and has a bunch of stuff to do for everyone. Team shop is awesome- spent too much up in there though! 20 different types of hats and jerseys and apparel. Bought a sweet hoodie and hat for about $100. Not a bad view in the entire park; obviously they have some suites and some cabanas along the outfield that are nice and private/ shaded. I imagine when it gets hot out, you just cook like their delicious hot dogs in that sun! (The hot dogs were really good!) They also offer a kids zone that you have to pay for and it's nothing too great. Bunch of blow up things to jump on and slide down. Beer garden is no garden. It's just a building in the outfield dead center that serves beer and backs up to the hotels. Will say, dang good beer selection. Yuengling and some Michigan brews too! It's a very comfy little stadium downtown. So much going on it can be hard to follow the game though. And, their food lines are atrocious! Takes FOREVER to get anything of substance food- wise. Two innings or more for a hotdog. Overall it was enjoyable and I'd make it a point to take in a game if headed that way in the country.

They're one of the few places in Fort Wayne that have laser tag, Nerf war, virtual reality games. It definitely is not cheap, but they have a lot more to offer than Chuck E. Cheese and is geared toward older kids. I'm happy to say that the management made it right last time because kids in our party we're being harassed by older kids on their own team as they were shooting them in the head with the Nerf gun. I find that this is unacceptable and if I would've known, I definitely would've spoken with the parents. My son raised his voice and told the game master who didn't do anything about it. I spoke with the manager later and he told me that he would speak with his staff and also gave us some game points to make up for the trouble. I hope they continue to enforce the rules because part of the reason people come to these places is they have fun not to get into conflict with people and their delinquent behavior.

I never been to a minor league game and I was always told its a lot of fun. The Fort Wayne TinCaps are a high a affiliate to the San Diego Padres. The TinCaps had previous names but per the wiki in the 2008 season it was changed to the TinCaps. This is "alluding to John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed (1774-1845). The Tin Cap refers to the story (dating back to the 19th century), that Johnny Appleseed wore a tin cooking pot as a hat, though this depiction has been disputed by historians. Chapman spent his final years in Fort Wayne and is buried in the city." I think that is pretty cool. My family and I finally got to go to a game on July 4th 2023... after all whats more American than watching a baseball game! The game was dramatic as their opponent, the West Michigan Whitecaps and them would continue to constantly battle it out throughout the game for the lead, changing who was in the lead several times throughout the game. The game was not decided until the 9th inning, with two outs when Nerwilian Cedeno of the TinCaps scored a game winning single that brought in runs to win the game... Epic! Loved the game! I am not a TinCaps fan for life!
