The waiting room is comfortable and the workers seem friendly and honest (so far!). The service wasn't cheap but seems in line with other prices around town, and you get discounts the more often you go. I also appreciate that they do all kinds of services, it can be useful to go to a place that does more than tires or oil changes. In all, would return again.

Well, a few hours led to the next day. The manager swore to my son while I was on the phone that it wasn't going to be a penny more than $900. My son watched as the technician took numerous breaks then said the bolts were giving him trouble. The next day when my son went back, the managers story changed. He now wanted almost $1800 because his technician took so long due to stubborn bolts and numerous breaks. If you have any issues with your vehicle, DO NOT GO TO SPEEDEE ON UNIVERSITY AVE!!! Go to a dealer or anywhere else. If you go here, you'll be cheated and lied to and now my car has an issue with the transmission because the technician dropped something out of the front, probably the torque converter then put it in and sent it out the door. I'm taking this to the NC Department of Justice to have them look at consumer fraud.

This place continues to amaze me. Yesterday the original battery in my 2018 Silverado failed (over…read more8 years old) so I called Modern Chevrolet hoping for a same day appointment. They accommodated my request and set me up for an hour after I called. When I arrived they were welcoming and guided me through the process. I dropped the truck off and went across the street for lunch. When I returned I waited for about 15 minutes and the truck was ready. I have been going to Modern for about 10 years now for service and they have never disappointed me. The service reps are helpful, friendly and accommodating and the techs are obviously knowledgeable and efficient since I have never had any issues with the work performed. 02 Ford Focus in need of repair after hydroplaning into curb, towed to Lee's on a Wednesday night,…read morewith a followup call to Lee's Thursday morning. Lee's replied that the damage was a bent driver-side inner tie rod, approx. $300 repair, and "the earliest it can be done is most likely Monday but that might change". The following Wednesday (one week after dropping the car off at Lee's) and after a few days of "call back tomorrow" inquiries, Lee's response was that they still haven't got to it. So, when we went to pickup the car to take to a different shop, Lee's said that "some of the parts are too rusted" and they may have to replace a lot of front end structure because it's so bad and very difficult to replace the tie rods, and that they didn't have oxyacetylene torches. And since the repairs may get really expensive, they decided they weren't going to work on the car. When asked why they waited almost 1 week to tell us that they weren't going to work on the vehicle, they responded "We told you last Friday we weren't going to do the work".... huh? 3 miles south, Jackson Oil said they could do the work. They called the next morning with the car ready to pickup. They replaced BOTH front inner tie rods, for a total of $160... with no problems whatsoever.
