Located about 400m from the Gern U-Bahnhof its easy to get to by public transport. The Biergarten is relatively small and probably fits a few hundred people. They serve Hofbräuhaus bier here and during this time of year they have their Maibock or what is also commonly referred to as sommerbier. Dark and slightly sweet this is a higher alcohol content bier and it's divine. The staff here are very friendly and the food is good. They have a huge selection of salads and cold dinner options as well as a grill with lots of Bavarian choices for food. I had the spareribs and they were excellent. It's Bavarian style spareribs and not smothered in sauce. It's drier than American style ribs but good nevertheless. I have dropped people off here many times however, never been in. I would happily come back here again. A nice local Biergarten in a beautiful suburb.

You can drive to this place and there is some parking right next to the biergarten. It is not a huge one however can accomodate quite a lot of people. I had the Wurstsalat which was quite ok and the obatzda was also ok. I would happily come here again as it is much quiter than the South side of the Englischgarten and it is nice and quite surrounded by a lot of trees and so on. It is also less touristy in comparison to the biergartens elsewhere in the park.

We visited the restaurant and they have a nice outdoor seating section and the tables are not too cramped. We went there three times in two days that's how great it was ! Service is friendly and attentive, you will never have an empty glass in front of you if you're still thirsty. Food was amazing too. Tried the classic Wiener Schnitzel with Preiselbeeren and Speck potatoes. So good when you get a fork of the schnitzel together with the Preiselbeeren. Also tried the regentenschnitzel which has a breading with mustard and horse radish and is a nice, slightly more flavorful variation of the Wiener schnitzel with fries. Equally great From the dessert menu we tried the leiberschmarrn which is a variation of Kaiserschmarren and that as well was spot on. There is also a nice beer garden and they have plenty of parking as well. Highly recommended
