Forresters were the only tree service that responded to my phone call the day a big storm came through La Porte in July of 2023. The estimator happened to be in my neighborhood and came right over. He gave me a great price to clean up 5 fallen trees. We then had them come out in January of 2026 to take care of another huge branch from a storm and some other branches. Again, quoted a fair price. Just 2 weeks ago, another tree fell on our property from a storm. We cut back what we could and hired Forresters to come finish cutting it up and hauling all the wood away, including some brush we had. We had Forrester Quality Tree Experts remove a large blue spruce tree from our yard. They did a superb job of removing the tree, grinding the stump and cleaning up the mess. I called and made an appointment for them to come to my house. I left work early to be home and they never showed up. When I called, they said the appointment was for the following day. It wasn't. I confirmed the day and appointment twice when I made it and wrote it on my calendar. The individual that answered the phone indicated she had been at the lake all day. Translation - blew me off. We had Forresters come quote for some tree trimming. We were happy with their low cost, compared to others. At first, there was no communication, we had to call several times to set up service- without call backs. Finally, we were able to track someone down. The company confirmed the day before service and would back out the day of service- this was done four times. The first couple of times were because their tree climber called off. The third time was understandable, do to an injury, but the final time was due to the tree climber quitting. Instead of thanking us for being understanding and patient, the owner calls to tell us they just won't be doing our service, with an unprofessional undertone. We are very disappointed with the management of the factors stated. read more
