I've never felt at home at a yoga practice until now. The people at Form Yoga--the instructors and my classmates--are warm and welcoming. All levels of experience are in the same class but there is ample support for the less experienced. This is the best yoga studio in Atlanta, hands down. I am lucky to have called Form my home away from home for over a year... I am moving and will miss this place so much. There are amazing teachers that all bring a little something different to each class. Mandy, April, and Rose are some of my personal favorites... Their customer service and management is always excellent. I had a few issues with my card being charged after my 6 month auto draft was up and they emailed back quickly and always worked hard to solve any issues I had. I only wish I had found this place sooner. There is no hot yoga here but it is the most mindful and welcoming place I have ever been to for yoga. The teachers genuinely care about their students, and the classes range from easy and beginner-friendly to work hard and get sweaty! No need for heat in Atlanta is what I learned:) Plus it is priced well for unlimited. Ah I love this place. read more

This studio is one of my favorites! If you want seasoned teachers with compassionate, playful hearts then this is the place for you. The classes are listed on the website according to difficulty level and give clear descriptions but most are accessible for many levels. You don't have to be afraid if you're new to yoga . If you're a more experienced yogi you will be challenged. I've watched my practice grow so much since I started practicing here. Mandy really pays attention to everyone and gives you what you need to move forward or find comfort in your postures. The teachers are all down to earth, real people who will make you smile every time. I always look forward to class and can't wait to try the Universal yoga classes! This is a fantastic yoga studio and my go-to spot for some downward dog, meditation and loosening up the ol' body. I've been going to this studio for about 3 years and I can't emphasize enough how welcoming, encouraging yet pleasantly challenging the classes are here. There are a wide range of classes and no matter what type of class, there is something for everyone. The instructors are very skilled and knowledgable but they don't take themselves too seriously - they don't look down on you if you can't touch your toes and laughing is common during classes! I would recommend this studio to anyone wanting to add a really great and beneficial workout, both physically and mentally, to your weekly routine. Love this studio! Been out a few times now and love the ambience and the beautiful space. So much character, but also a lot of love goes into everything there from the owner to each of the instructors. The space is unique and clean and welcoming and each of the instructors I've seen has been amazing and truly invested in their students (Jessica Calderon and Hadji Jones). This is a great yoga studio that's super close to my home. I purchased a Groupon for 10 classes, and it was definitely a good deal. I'm drawn to the sweaty fast-paced classes. I've really enjoyed Happy Hour, Upper Body Reform, and Hips Don't Lie. Mandy Roberts is the owner and her classes are awesome. My only complaint is that in the summer time, the studio is pretty warm. And when the A/C comes on, it's loud and makes it hard to hear the instructor's directions. But it's still a great studio and I recommend it. read more

FORM yoga is my happy place! It is such a wonderful place to practice yoga. The sense of community at FORM is like no other. There are tons of great classes and amazing teachers. I have been practicing at FORM twice a week for the last two years. When I started I could barely forward fold and now I am able to do advanced poses! My favorite thing about FORM is that everyone leaves their ego at the door. The students and teachers at FORM are extremely supportive and encouraging. I love the easy transitions between intense and playful modes -- you can take an invigorating 1-hour flow class (Happy Hour), or claim a space for a candlelit 90-minute meditation workshop on the chakras. Teachers are uniformly down-to-earth, accessible, and encouraging. I'm dazzled by the ease with which owner and instructor Mandy Roberts picks up on the names of all her students and calls out sweet affirmations to them during class. As a newly aspiring yogi I was pretty nervous about going out in public and demonstrating my weaknesses physically and my ignorance of yoga in general. Based on reviews I decided t that I would give form a try. They have a great 25 dollars for 25 day intro floor new members. By the end of my first class I felt pretty at ease in their beautiful studio. By the end of the first week I felt like I was part of a community of like-minded people. So far all of the teachers have been super encouraging, kind and inspirational. I would totally recommend this place to anyone, especially those who feel a little nervous about getting started on the mat. I've tried out a lot of yoga studios over the years, and I've never found another that I love the way I do FORM{yoga}. I participate in a twice-weekly offsite class led by owner Mandy Roberts, make it into the studio whenever I can, and recently attended the Live.Laugh.Love. Tulum, Mexico Retreat with Mandy. The amazing experience of that retreat is what inspired me to log in to my seldom-used Yelp account and leave a review. This was my first yoga retreat. Prior to training with Mandy, I never would have signed up for something like this -- not because I don't love yoga, but because I would have worried about being unable to keep up with the folks who go three or more times a week, the attendees who also instruct, the people who arm balance perfectly and who never fall out of crow pose. I would have been distracted comparing myself to others, and I would have judged myself as falling short. I would have really missed out. FORM{yoga} emphasizes self-acceptance and meeting people where they're at. Since I started training with Mandy a little over a year ago, I'm doing poses that I would have once thought were impossible for me. When I fall out of crow pose, I laugh. When one of my classmates kicks it up a notch and does something amazing, whether for the first time or the one hundredth, I clap. Mandy creates a community on the mat in which every person is seen and heard and valued, and every skill level is met and pushed (gently and inexorably). I've been growing by leaps and bounds since I started training with her. I see myself as a yogi now, and I am eager to try new things. Mandy crafted an amazing experience for all of us on the recent retreat. There were studio owners and people who'd never done yoga before in our group. All were met and pushed (gently and inexorably) to the next level. Mandy made sure that we always knew the schedule for the day, and then she listened and stayed flexible about what that schedule entailed. There were always lots of options in her classes, so that if you were feeling a little slower in the morning or evening, you could take a more relaxed approach, but if you were feeling ready to work, you could push and reach for that next level. Amansala Eco Resort and Spa is a gorgeous location for a yoga retreat. The food was AMAZING; the staff lovely and helpful. The room my friends and I shared was perfect. The layout of the beds, which were each surrounded by mosquito netting, meant that it was easy to have private time even in a shared space. The beach directly in front of the resort was temporarily experiencing a seaweed issue, but the staff was already hard at work clearing it, and the beach was clear and pristine within a short walk. I really enjoyed the walk and the privacy of the near-empty beach. I can't say enough about how beautiful it was. I also highly recommend doing the bicycle excursion to the nearby ruins of the ancient Mayan city of Tulum. I will definitely be attending future retreats with Mandy - hopefully another one at Amansala someday! Her grace, humor, and professionalism ensured a relaxing, revitalizing, and inspiring experience for all. I made several new friends in the group that went, and I hope to keep in touch with them. I highly recommend FORM{yoga} and any retreat Mandy Roberts puts on. Live.Laugh.Love. was one of the loveliest gifts I've ever given myself. read more

This is a long, long overdue review, as I just got on Yelp! I've been taking classes at Form Yoga for almost two years and love this studio. They offer a variety of classes for ALL skill levels, so you never have to feel intimidated by a class. When I started going to Form, I couldn't even get into crow pose, and now I'm able to get into handstands. I'm amazed at how much the individual attention you get here helped improve my skills, challenge me, and get me out of my comfort zone. The studio offers low-key classes such as YinYoga and Relaxation Yoga as well, if your goals are more meditation than asana based, and a variety of workshops are offered by both the regular teachers and visiting yogis. The community is friendly, welcoming, and diverse. The new location is filling a niche on the east side of Decatur, near the intersection of Sam's Crossing and East Ponce de Leon, and is easily accessible from Decatur, Toco Hills, Emory, Clarkston, and Avondale Estates. It's also worth the drive to visit from other locations as well. The new studio has a main level and a loft level with a skylight for the smaller classes, and is sunny and pleasant. There is plenty of parking, so you'll never be circling for a spot! If you're looking for a yoga center where you are not just a number, but part of a community, this is the place. read more

They seem to treat people of color differently. The 1st day that I arrived I didn't know my way around so I was in the hallway. I did grab a few door handles before getting to the correct door because I came in the back of the building. The very next day I was told someone was trying to break into cars and door and they changed the policy so there was no longer 5 min grace period upon arrival (but they did allow others to come late about 15 mins into class). The next day I receive an "Etiquette" letter from the owner, Mandy. Now the 1st time I met this woman she literally walked up to me, did not introduce herself and began to play with the braids in my hair. One of the rudest things I have ever encountered and she has the nerve to have a whole letter about Etiquette. I have NEVER felt so uncomfortable in my life. I did even finish out my Groupon I only a couple of times. Then I began Still Hot Yoga in Decatur. It is a much more peaceful environment, very open minded and respectful to EVERYONE. read more

For several years now, I had been looking for a place to get started with yoga. Finding a venue with offerings to suit both my unusual work schedule and my spartan budget had proved more daunting than I had hoped. This January, I stumbled by chance upon the FORM{yoga} website, and was amazed to discover that it's right in my neighborhood, tucked into a little strip that I drive past several times a week. They have a great variety of different types and levels of classes at times I can actually attend, and their fabulous introductory offer for new students made it easy to say yes. Middle-aged, overweight, and not very flexible, I started with a cocktail of Easy Like Sunday Morning, Recharge & Restore, and Hips Don't Lie, and never looked back.
