We ate two dinners in a row here it was so good. The first night we both had the duck with what they called bread dumplings and we might call stuffing, the ubiquitous red cabbage and a great sauce. All excellent. Tonight my husband had a repeat of the duck and I had goose liver, with a sweet compote and greens with superb bread. It was melt in your mouth. I had ordered a light meal hoping for dessert but couldn't manage. The table next to us had a Sacher torte that looked well worth eating. We both had a nice local Czech wine. The service was also superb. People in this town are universally pleasant to those who don't speak Czech, finding English menus and being helpful even when you have no common language. I doubt that a Czech in my town would find it so simple to wander and get wonderful service. And did I mention how reasonable the prices are here. I have enjoyed the week here and looking forward to another week here. read more
