wow! blue moon has been open over 20 years now and i can remember when they were just brand new…read more now this make me feel really old! this has always been my favorite antiques store in all of grants pass and there are many. i just love the selection of everything they have to offer and it's such a fun place to shop. they have a huge collection of beer steins, disney, art, neon signs and so much more. they have so much to add to your collection but if you ever need to get rid of your collection they just might be interested in buying. i look forward to each and every trip into grants pass so i can see my aunt nut i must say i prefer blue moon much more. :)

And their prices range from reasonable to a little more than I would have expected. But that happens with antiques. They were friendly enough while we were there. . But then we found out two days later, that apparently we weren't the type of customers that they wanted in their store. They completely judged Us by our appearance, and told our friend that we were not welcome to come back and that they had debated on calling the police on us while we were there. This really took me by surprise since I thought we were pleasant and respectful. I was very careful about how I touched anything, and I even left my umbrella by the door. I'm not really sure what brought this on other than just judging a book by its cover. I will probably not return to that store. Even though there were a few items I was very interested in. So as much as I would love to give them a four or better, star rating, because of their behind our backs attitude I'm only giving them a two.

There was no sign saying I couldn't, and that's a stupid outdated policy in today's world anyway. It's how we share with friends, spreading the word about what we like. I was trying to get a shot of a sign I wanted to send to some friends and she walked up to me like I'm a kid and said "Photography is not allowed." (For the record I'm in my 70s.) I guess the logic is I'll photograph it, go home and recreate it, spending way more time and money that would make it more expensive than simply shelling out the $7 for it. Really? C'mon, use some logic. Because of the condescension, I left the store instead of staying and buying something else. So, because she wouldn't let me take a simple photo to share on social media, which could have generated some more customers, she lost whatever sales I would have provided, shot a hole in the goodwill it would have created, and generated this poor review. Smooth move, better to make customers feel welcome and let them share than insulted and lose sales. But, who knows? Maybe it's some brilliant marketing strategy I just don't see.

Once he opened the business he came out to talk to me and welcomed me in. I told him my daughter is into doing stained glass panels and he started to tell me about where these pieces had come from. He had collected almost all his stuff in the store by doing building demolition and keeping and selling the removed items. There was so much cool stuff that I really took my time to take it all in. When I got to the old door locks and skeleton keys , that was really cool, then on to the tin you would put on a ceiling in the old days, crown molding, lighting fixtures, solid wood columns, windows, there were some antique furniture pieces but not a lot. I cannot wait to go back to this business when we come to town next time, the owner was super cool, highly recommended

Lots to look at so you can find just the right treasure. There's also a booth by Northwest Soap Works, so it's easy to buy my favorite artisan soap here in Grants Pass! I love going to a good thrift shop, this one was just ok, you never know what you are going to…read morefind. The prices here seemed steep for the quality of the merchandise. I like to look at the tools and they were what you would think, miss matched sockets and screw drivers. My wife looked at the clothes and then gave me the let's go look, I still wanted to look deeper into the collection of stuff. After a couple more minutes we decided that maybe we would come back at another time. One mans trash is another mans treasure I say , my wife disagrees. We probably will check out some of the other shops locally.
