Every time we travel, we make it a point to find a spot to get a massage bonus points if it's…read morereflexology or deep tissue. During our tulip-chasing weekend in the Skagit Valley, Grafton Reflexology popped up on Google with rave reviews. Yelp was a little quieter, but hey, we're adventurers. We called ahead, booked a same day 90-minute couples massage (for $90 each). The facility looked newly renovated, and the massage beds were legit comfy. Things were already off to a great start. My therapist was absolutely legend 5 stars level. I'm the kind of person who wants a massage thats really deep tissue, the kind where you're wondering if you'll be sore tomorrow (in a good way). Mission accomplished here. My husband, on the other hand, prefers the "press, but don't punish" kind of massage, and his therapist delivered a solid medium-to-firm pressure. We both walked out feeling like limp noodles in the best way possible. Now for downsides. The couples massage room shares a wall with Domino's pizza. So while you're trying to relax and find your Zen, the soundtrack might include wall banging, doors slamming, kitchen chaos, and shouting. Also, your therapists are the front desk, so don't be surprised if they dash out mid-massage to take a phone call or help someone else. Hustle culture is alive and well here. I respect this a lot but it does momentarily yank you out of your relaxation bubble. One more heads-up they love an upsell. Aromatherapy? $$. CBD lotion ? $$$? We weren't sure what was included and what was a la carte, which made us a bit hesitant. Turns out hot stones were included, but we almost missed out because we thought it was extra. Just ask before you commit to anything or tell them at the beginning you want nothing added it on just what you purchased. Bottom line, if you're in Burlington and need a quality, affordable massage this place is a gem. Just don't expect total tranquility but you can get pizza afterwards!

My Erin, my injectionist is quite the professional. Being new to the Pacific Northwest it took me…read morequite a while to finally find an injectionist that wouldn't give cause eye ptosis, or some other subpar result. Erin is open to collaborative feedback so that we can get my look just right, and is great about giving you less to start with, saving you money AND a more natural look. She's not just pushing product into your face. I really appreciate her. I also love Zoe my facialist who went to the local Evergreen College for beauty school. I do my dermaplaning and my facial (both) with her and it is so professional and highly skilled and uses the most top notch products (Eminence) the ones I used to get in Scottsdale. I didn't even have this great of treatments when I lived in Seattle. Very impressed, and looking forward to trying their masseuse Heather and the other masseuses as well. Appointments already on the book!

It is so hard to relax when you have to be cautious of the time. (This review is solely for the…read morewellness lounge and not regarding their other services). The wellness lounge is nice if you just want a quick sauna session or to sit for a bit in the salt room. But since you only get 1 hour it means you can basically sit in the sauna for half the time and salt room for the other. I don't even try using any of the other amenities in this wellness lounge, I just feel rushed if I do, unfortunately! You really can't rest without feeling a pinch of anxiety to check the clock as soon as you start to unwind here, especially if you want to shower off before your time is up! I thought I'd try their "Wellness+ Halotherapy" experience; thinking on their website it was going to offer additional time of salt therapy to the hour with the other lounge amenities, but I misunderstood and instead got charged $50 instead of $30 while I still juggled my hour trying to enjoy the sauna and salt room per usual. I liked Pure because it was closer to home, but last month I went to Oasis Spa Northwest in Lynden, who has the same amenities and more, and they only charged $35 for 3 hours! It made the $50 charge for my 1 hour misunderstanding at Pure feel even more rushed and disappointing. Pure, I appreciate that you're close, it is such a lovely spa and I'm not trying to burn a bridge, but you're officially just my "I'm desperate to sit in a sauna" spa. I'll be driving a bit further if I want to actually relax from now on. I just get too stressed out having to mind the clock when I'm supposed to be relaxing. If you decide to extend the time we get in wellness lounge for the money we're already paying, you would truly become the perfect local spa!
