Absolutely not. I do not trust them at all. Losing Molly was horrible. Knowing her body was abused and neglected is devastating. I HATE THEM. We paid them to treat her with dignity and respect. I wonder if this is their level of regard for all the animals and humans who are to be cremated by them. Twenty-four hours later, no contact from them, even though I, and my vet, have called and emailed. Unforgivable.

I thought that with the cheap price it would be in a cheap setting, but I was wrong. The place is set on a beautiful quiet farm acre away from the city and traffic that I was most pleased with in the same town that I first got my dog. Dan, the older gentleman and owner of the business was very polite and patient with me, he even helped carry my 80lb great pyrenees' body to the crematorium. I even got to watch the cremation take place. Although he operates his business from out of his house, and the pet cemetery from out of his backyard its not as bad as it looks. All in all I'm satisfied that I got my dog cremated there, I feel like its only right to cremate him in the town he was from. Total cost of cremation along with his certificate and elegant urn came about $168, its not that cheap but compared to other places that range from $200 and above in Louisville its reasonable given for his size.

I rescued Mattie May on a Hot Summer Day in the State of Georgia. Her owners had left her and her pup to fend for themselves and drove away and left them. Horrific! I found her pup a Loving and Forever Home and I took Mattie home. I called my vet first thing the following morning and brought her in. A Heartworm Test showed that the poor girl had Heartworm :( I asked the vet to do Anything and Everything to make her well. Thankfully, it was at the Very Early Stages, but she had to go through the awful treatment just the same. The vet estimated her to be around 7 years old at the time. I had another 7-1/2 Incredible Years with my Very Best Friend. Tears fill my eyes as I am writing as the Void in my Heart Remains as if her passing was Yesterday. She is in Heaven, Without Pain and In Peace. Mattie's last vet appointment showed a Tumor on her Spleen~which is one of the Worst Diagnosis for a dog. Even a 2 year old dog that has Surgery followed by Chemo. typically only lives a couple of months even after all of that treatment. Mattie was 14-1/2. She had stopped eating. I prayed and asked God to Please Help Me. It was The Most Heartbreaking Decision. God Gently let me know that He puts people in our lives to allow our pets to pass on to Heaven, to put an end to their suffering here on this earth in the most humane way. I spoke with my Vet Hospital~Wonderful folks as well~I will post separate review) who told me that they have someone from Louisville who comes down twice a week to pick up animals for cremation. I was Horrified and Cried Hysterically. I Couldn't Possibly Imagine... It was then that I discovered Heartland Pet Hospital. I called them late in the day. The owner Pete answered and was Extremely Compassionate at the onset of my call. While sharing the details, he told me that they were scheduled to go away that day, but I could tell he wanted to assist me. I apologized and asked if they could please assist me the following day. "No, we don't want you to have to wait...please allow me to call you back in a few minutes." Just as promised, my phone rang. He told me the gentleman's name who would meet us at our Vet. It was late in the day as I couldn't bear to have anyone there. The Professionalism and Kindness of the man who met us there, Words Cannot Possibly Describe. My apologies as I don't remember his name, I was So Distraught.... This Gentleman waited outside in a discreet way that didn't make me feel hurried in the least. I came out of the vet Totally Hysterical and went to my vehicle where I cried my eyes out. He waited in his vehicle until we departed the parking lot. I had the Pleasure of speaking with Pete's Lovely Wife Kelly. She is Such a Beautiful Lady on the Inside as Well as the Outside! An Angel Sent from God to be with us! The bedrock on which our family is built upon. Losing both three years apart; 10 days apart, is beyond words. Beyond devastating. We as a family have two other equally cherished pets, a Chihuahua Terrier named Clarice and a new baby Chihuahua we've just adopted. They, with my father and myself grieve together as a family and will eventually find a way forward. In our despair of losing Sniffles after a short downturn in health; we found ourselves once again in the dreaded position of needing the services of a crematorium. With the trauma and emotions experienced from our interaction with Borden's still painfully fresh in our minds and hearts, we sought out a service here in Louisville that caters to pets and their families. We were blessed in our time of absolute devastation to find that service in a company called Pet Angel's; located on Grassland Avenue in Jeffersontown. The staff; Theresa, Mark and Gerald could not have been more caring, supportive and compassionate. From my first call to them to the time spent at their location saying goodbye to one of the loves of our lives, they went above and beyond. We were directly attended to by Theresa and Mark, and they are absolutely stellar. We were allowed as much time as we needed to be with Sniffles, with Theresa attending unobtrusively nearby. Their support was always present and they were ready to assist at a moments notice. When the moment came to let Sniffles' mortal remains to be removed from our arms, he was placed calmly, slowly and above all Respectfully in the crematory. My father and I said our final goodbyes and gave Sniffles our love. With that the door was closed and the process of his mortal remains into the afterlife began. At that moment my father and I broke. The most painful moment of our lives was knowing he was gone forever, and we would never hold him again, he would never run and be free in his favorite park again with Clarice, he would not continue to live life to the fullest with Clarice ever again. He will never get to live and share all the new experiences the new puppy we just adopted will have. That he and Clarice and the new baby pup will never have the chance to romp and play and be happy together. All that is left is heartache and memories. His beautiful baby button nose would never again be kissed. His chubby little baby belly would never again be rubbed after a full meal. His beautiful, soulful brown eyes would never again peer impishly at us, in his moments of love and joy. He soft little baby ears would never again be rubbed soothingly whilst he slept. He soft little baby paws would never be massaged again. We would never hold our baby love in life and vitality ever again. We will miss every atom of his being, ever breath that lived in his body, every moment of every day that he lived; in the knowledge that if he could, we would move heaven and earth for him to live it all over again. After a period of time the process was complete and Theresa brought Sniffles urn to us. She apologized again for our loss and again offered her condolences. During the entire time we spent with them, both Theresa and Mark apologized profusely for our pain and suffering. They spoke with us; they took the time to listen, to get to know Sniffles and our family. Their entire focus was to our needs and to easing our despair. Their support and compassion was and is priceless. There are no limits to how I recommend they highly enough. As we will carry our previous experience with us for the rest of our lives, we will carry our time and experience with Pet Angel's as well. But we will share the positive and supportive experience we had with them, and highly Highly recommend them to anyone else experiencing the lose of a beloved pet. You will be in their care. They offered shipping, delivery to my local veterinary office or I could pick the ashes up. I chose to pick up her remains and Joy was just as pleasant in person as on the phone. The beautiful urn box came in a velvety navy blue drawstring bag, along with the certificate, nameplate and a pamphlet for coping with grief. All of it in another sturdy navy blue bag. Lulu left behind her brother from another mother, Percy, whom she was bonded with for 13 awesome years. He's 17 now and still very healthy. This is what really happened...I knew something was wrong when: 1. I pleaded with Faithful Friends to give me a receipt to prove they picked up Oreo( I wanted a date). Also a receipt showing a date proving that she was cremated. I kept asking...they kept refusing. Kim, from Faithful Friends that commented on my review was the person that kept refusing to give me a receipt proving they had picked up Oreo and proving that she was cremated. She also blocked me from talking to anyone else. She, the other staff, as well as Middendorf didn't know where Oreo was or even who the driver, who was supposed to pick up Oreo. 2. I also knew something was wrong when their dates didn't match Middendorf's dates until they finally got together and picked a date that worked for them. 3. Oreo was referred to as a "Male"...my precious Oreo is a FEMALE. 4.Brittany, Jim, Brian and Lorie and staff didn't even have compassion for my Beloved Oreo to return my calls. I will be reporting them to Animal Cruelty Organizations and the Ky. Board of Veterinary Examiner. I am devastated that I still don't know what happened to my Beloved Oreo or where she is. If only I had walked back in that room and taken my precious Oreo home instead of leaving her with these people. I will never get over this. Oreo did not have a voice, so I am being the voice for my Beloved Oreo.
