We had to stop here for a photo with this fun sculpture of the iconic Marilyn Monroe. It's just fun! We stopped by there after dinner. The weather was perfect outside and it wasn't crowded then. People were courteously taking turns and getting to know each other while we waited for our turn.

As a Marilyn Monroe fan I was really excited to see this. We went early Saturday morning to miss the crowds and I was able to get a great picture.

Even though I've been to Palm Springs more times than I can count, Forever Marilyn statue is still a place I check out. Did you even go to Palm Springs if you didn't stop by... LoL... I don't what was going on today, if there was an event or something. But a Monday afternoon, the city was packed. Of course there's always a line with people waiting for a picture. The good thing about it, people are actually quite respectful waiting for their pictures. And gracious enough to take pictures for you. It's at the new spot literally right across from where it used to be infront of the museum. It's house at the little park next door. Plenty of seating at one of the tables or along the garden wall. A cute little dessert garden next to the police station. Also, there's public restrooms just behind her which is pretty clean. Regardless whenever you come to see her, they'll always be a crowd. Plus with the beautiful mountain as the backdrop, she's meant to shine. Palm Springs, you can't come and not have a picture with her. It's a must....

Must see : visit spot when you're in Palm Springs. This FOREVER MARILYN statue is HUGE, perfectly crafted and very impressive. It is beautiful and spectacular!! A perfect picture spot. There is a park and benches nearby, where you can sit down and enjoy the statue/ scenery and do a bit of people watch. ;) Very nice!

If you visit the Forever Marilyn Statue you can enjoy taking humorous pictures. I recommend going there before sunset. Near the statue you will find a public restroom and an art museum. The statue of the car is no longer being displayed. Highly recommended visiting Forever Marilyn.

"A wise girl knows her limits. A smart girl knows that she has none." - Marilyn Monroe If statues could strut, this one would be sashaying down the runway. Enter Forever Marilyn, the 26-foot-tall steel-and-aluminum goddess who graces downtown Palm Springs, near the Palm Springs Art Museum, with the kind of presence that makes you want to say, "Yaaas, queen!" Inspired by Marilyn Monroe's iconic scene from The Seven Year Itch, this statue, created by Seward Johnson, captures her mid-twirl, dress billowing, and confidence radiating. It's a moment frozen in time, celebrating a woman who knew how to own her space and her sensuality. Forever Marilyn isn't just a statue; it's a statement. She stands tall, turning heads, sparking conversations, and reminding us that women have always been, and will always be, forces to be reckoned with. She was a trailblazer who navigated a male-dominated industry with grace and grit. This statue isn't just a tribute to her beauty; it's a nod to her strength, her intelligence, and her unapologetic femininity. So the next time you're in Palm Springs, give a wink to the blonde bombshell who continues to inspire and empower. Because if there's one thing Marilyn taught us, it's that confidence is the best accessory.

This large statue of Marilyn Monroe in her famous pose is a must see if you are a fan. Located on the corner of Museum Way and Belardo Rd at the Downtown Park a block away from the Palm Springs Art Museum. There are some 20 minutes street parking around the area if you just want to take some quick photos, otherwise there are parking lots around the area for extended parking if you plan on walking around downtown Palm Springs or want to check out the art museum.

    Jolie F.

Marilyn has moved! Marilyn may have moved from her prominent spot in Palm Springs but she is not too far away from her original spot! She still stands tall on the corner of Bellare and Museum street. Right near the art museum. Definitely worth a stop to grab a picture with the infamous Marilyn Monroe statue that stands 26feet tall! So why was she moved? Apparently people felt the statue may be sexist with her skirt flipped up according to media. You be the judged on this one!

Nov, 2025. Palm Springs, CA. Marilyn Monroe, at age 22 in 1949, was "discovered" in Palm Springs at Charlie Farrell's Racquet Club. "Forever Marilyn", the 26-foot-tall sculpture created by artist Stewart Johnson, depicts Marilyn's most iconic scene in the film "The Seven Year Itch". It's located in downtown's Palm Springs Park at the intersection of Museum Way and Belardo Road. It's next to a convenient and free parking garage and police sub-station. The central location of the sculpture places it within walking distance of the main shopping, dining, and entertainment district.

You can't make a trip to Palm Springs without stopping at Forever Marilyn! Located off the street in a little park in front of the art museum, it was easily accessible. There is a sign with the history and facts about the display, and then lots of opportunities for photos. The area is nice for a stroll around - the art museum steps with their cushioned seats is also a great photo stop. There are also several pieces of art on nearby corners, and overhead flowers - all great photo ops. You need to make this stop at least once if you are in the area!

"We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets." - Marilyn Monroe A couple of weeks ago, I serendipitously discovered the Forever Marilyn statue while exploring Palm Springs on Google Maps. It was the final confirmation I needed to "live" a little and have no "regrets" by instantly packing an overnight bag and taking a spontaneous weekend trip to Palm Springs. :)

It's kind of hidden with only the sigh out front along the driveway. Hidden behind the walls, as you drive through the gate along the long driveway with the well maintained cactus garden landscape. You come upon the spectacular estate. The entire property is very well maintained with loads and loads of cactus and garden plants. Right when you walk in the museum is to the left side of the main building. The lobby is right in the middle which looks out to the garden. Cafe, gift shops and restrooms is to the right. Cafe does have outdoor seating but it was quite hot today. Once you walk out to the garden, the massive grassy knoll is the focal point. I'm sure loads of amazing events have been held here. Shiprock, a formidable rock formation rises from the desert floor. Kinda resembles a majestic ship sailing through sandy seas. The Navajo people held it sacred, honoring its significance for generations. Shiprock is a towering, weathered rock commanding respect, shaped by nature's enduring forces. Its origins intrigued me, and I immersed myself in its history. Legend spoke of a great flood, and the Shiprock served as a vessel of salvation for the Navajo people. Transformed into stone, it symbolized protection and resilience. Very very interesting.. Stepping out of my car, I neared the monument, captivated by its grandeur. The colors and patterns etched into the rock unveiled the passage of time. Yet, the desert had other plans. Suddenly, winds roared, untamed and furious. Sand swirled, obscuring the monument. The tempest, relentless, threatened my presence. Struggling to stay upright, I sought shelter in my car. The wind rattled, buffeting the vehicle, while dust particles assaulted the air. It felt as if I'd stumbled into a wild haboob, nature's chaotic storm. With great effort, I retreated to safety, my heart pounding. Inside the car, I realized nature's power had exceeded my expectations. The monument, once serene, transformed into a battleground. Summoning courage, I started the engine and escaped the storm's clutches. Gratitude washed over me as the wind subsided, leaving a calm desert in its wake. With memories of Shiprock imprinted on my mind, it makes me wonder if there is something almost supernatural about this location...
