Never something you want to do, but when something you have to do is made easier it makes a big…read moredifference. We had to have one of our dogs put to sleep, fairly suddenly. The vet uses Pet Cremation Services, and they called us a few days later to deliver our girl. Before we've had to go to the vet to pick up the ashes, which I don't mind, but the delivery was a nice touch. The gentleman worked with our schedule, and was pleasant. The box is tasteful, and they also gave us a pawprint and some fur (not sure if that was handled by the vet or the crematory) and a graceful card. A good experience at a hard time.

So first impressions is everything!…read more When we pulled up we should have turned around! It's a trailer with the name on the side so no actual building with a gravel parking lot! I was nervous with leaving my baby! Once we walked in wasn't welcomed in no nothing we walked to the counter (clutter with things u can purchase and dusty) and finally a lady walked over to us and asked us if we was picking up. We had a box in our hands as we just left animal hospital of worthington after putting out 1month old kitten to sleep! We said no we just called about cremation for our kitten. The lady asked us if we had the kitten I said yes in the box that the sweet lady's at animal hospital of worthington put him in . She picked up the box and shook it! WTF! my fiancé was pissed and went off I started crying! My fiancé asked her why did she shake the box! She said she was sorry! And proceeded to tell us he isn't a pocket size so it'll be $107! I said ok she filled out the paperwork for us we paid and I asked her for his blanket out of the box that he was laying on she said yes and gave me the blanket. I paid and she said it will be 3-5 business days! There was no compassion or empathy! I usually go to Schoedinger pet department but they didn't answer and I don't want to take him home until the morning! We wanted to go off but we had been through enough today! Let's hope and pray my baby is ok and no other issues arise!

The wait time was absolutely insane. My dog had a stick lodged in the back of her throat, and after…read morespending 8 hours at MedVet, they still failed to find it. I ended up discovering it myself once we got home. Additionally, some of the front desk staff showed a complete lack of empathy and did not take concerned pet parents seriously. I witnessed one woman bring in her dog--she was clearly distressed and spoke English as a second language--and the front desk employee made no effort to treat her or her pet with kindness. The interaction was dismissive and lacked basic compassion. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I strongly recommend going to a different MedVet location. The front desk staff here seem overwhelmed and in need of a break, and unfortunately, it shows in the level of care and compassion provided.

I had the absolute worst experience at MetVet Hilliard this week when my cat Rémy was vomiting and…read morehad diarrhea. Their staff does not listen AT ALL. From the moment I walked in, no one even took me seriously. They asked me why I brought him in and I told them gastrointestinal issues. They asked if he was urinating and I was like "ummmm maybe?" The person at the front desk called for a tech "stat because the cat isn't urinating." We get into a room and they come in a few minutes later after examining him wanting to ask some questions. I told them another cat in my house had just had gastrointestinal issues and been sick (brought it home from the vet's office the week prior we think). That wasn't even a question in their mind. The doctor who came to talk to me wanted to focus on "stress at home" and asked about his litter box and food. Then brought out an estimate for $1200 to have an x Ray and bloodwork done even though he had JUST had his wellness check at the vet within the last month and he was given a clean bill of health. They said "well things can change in a day." Ok fine - you're the professionals so I trust you. Nearly two hours later they come back and inform me that the bloodwork was normal and his x Ray was negative for blockage or abnormalities in his abdomen (thank goodness!) but said they could keep him and hospitalize him and send him for additional testing with an internal medicine doctor if I "really wanted to get to the bottom of things." They gave me NO answers and guidance about what was likely the problem and the doctor actually said "it could be cancer. We don't really know," and urged me to hospitalize him for what I'm sure would have been thousands more. I opted to get them to give him subcutaneous fluids and an anti nausea medication so I could take him home and pursue care with his primary vet. Turns out: virus. Thanks for the nice scare throwing out cancer for a 5-year old healthy cat with normal bloodwork and exams. Way to live those core values of caring about your patients and customers. I will NEVER use MedVet ever again. It is the biggest ripoff and runaround.
