For some reason with Dr. Abby, nothing ever hurts! Both of my kids have had fillings. Almost unfortunately, it was such a pleasant experience that when I tell them to brush better to prevent cavities, they really don't care! I trust Dr. Abby completely with my kids teeth. It is a pleasure going to her.

My family had been praising him for years, and I wondered if anyone could really live up to that reputation. He exceeded every expectation. I had laser gum surgery, and the experience was outstanding. Dr. McCawley is incredibly talented, but what impressed me most was his kindness and genuine concern for his patients. Before my procedure, he contacted me to make sure I felt prepared and had all of my questions answered. He even took the time to respond to a text I sent about my brother over a holiday weekend. That combination of skill, compassion, and accessibility is rare. Add to that a warm, efficient, first-class office staff, and you have a practice that truly stands out. Using Dr. Behn's methods, I didn't feel anything. He put me at ease. I will continue to review him as I continue going. I wanted an honest dentist that I could trust. He seems to be the man. The best review I could give is that a couple from Port Saint Lucie were in the waiting room with me. They drive over 100 miles for appointments here because they trust and love the dentist. I admit I had a 30 minute wait upon arrival, but they had just moved it this office and apologized profusely. Kathy is so responsive up front and also put me at ease.

With COVID-19 occuring, I wasn't sure as to how they were handling services. All staff was wearing masks, some wearing a face shield as well. There were also social distancing markers on chairs in the waiting room and on the floor near their front desk. They're doing their best given the circumstances, especially as they are essential. Over the years, they've managed to renovate inside and make the office look brand new and modern. Though I never disliked their old look a few years back! The staff here are always nice and willing to work with you when it comes to scheduling appointments and making payments. As for the actual dentist and hygienists, they make sure you feel comfortable and are excellent at their jobs. If you have questions they are always happy to answer them with no judgement either! I definitely recommend this place for your basic dental needs. If there's something beyond their means to helping you they are always able to refer you to a recommended specialist as well.

He did two crowns for me at different times and they have both developed issues. One developed an abscess less than 3 years after which almost led to me needing an extraction. Fortunately the tooth was saved and I went to a periodontist specialist who redid the root canal and replaced the crown. The other crown is a bit older and from x-rays two dentists since have told me that the crown was always too big and poorly designed for the tooth. This has caused a lot of issues in the gums and with food getting caught in the space underneath and bone loss. This crown will also need to be replaced, less than 6 years after it was put in. All of this has caused additional expense and other potential oral health issues due to infection and the irreversible bone loss. I am disappointed in the quality of the work I received and in how costly it has been.

What really stands out is how reasonable her pricing is. For the amount of work I've had done, I feel like I got great value without ever feeling taken advantage of. She genuinely wants to help, not just run up a bill. The office is clean and professional, and her staff is always warm and welcoming. They're bilingual in English and Spanish, which makes things easier for a lot of people in the area. If you're tired of being rushed through appointments or sold things you don't need, give Dr. Shayan a try. She's the real deal -- honest, kind, and truly good at what she does. Highly recommend.

I'd like to share my opinion about Dr. Maria Shayan, owner of Smile at Margate. On June 17th, I had…read morean appointment and was charged an $89 deposit for a denture t of my upper teeth. The doctor reviewed my X-ray, which was taken a month prior at another office. She tried to pressure me into taking another X-ray, which I refused because I know I can only take one X-ray per year. Each additional X-ray is harmful to the body. When I refused another X-ray, the doctor refused to take the denture. I asked for a refund, but the doctor said she wouldn't refund me, explaining that I wasted her time, which was exactly 5 minutes. Before my appointment at Smile at Margate, and in no other dental office charged me a consultation fee. I believe I was defrauded because I was charged $89 for a procedure that I was denied. I warn all future Smile at Margate clients against the doctor's dishonest practices.

Hernandez! The treatment I received with DR. Hernandez and his office staff, I must say, was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in for my initial consultation, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. The staff at the office were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure to answer all of my questions and ease any concerns I had about the upcoming procedure. What really stood out to me was the patience and thoroughness with which the doctor explained the entire process to me during that first visit. It was evident that they truly cared about ensuring I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. As the day of my surgery approached, I appreciated having been proactive in requesting a copy of the instructions at the initial visit- due to different conflicts, I had to reschedule my procedure 2 or 3 times ( I can't remember) so from that initial consult to the date of the procedure was well over 4 months. This was the first time I was undergoing any sort of procedure, so for my own wellbeing, I am glad I requested the paperwork at that first visit! While the pre-op instructions provided the night before were minimal, having the additional guidance ensured I was well-prepared for the big day. On the day of the surgery, everything went smoothly, thanks to the professionalism and expertise of the entire team. I was pleasantly surprised by how little discomfort I experienced afterward, thanks to the adequate pain control measures put in place. My follow-up appointment a week later further solidified my positive impression of the office. I was informed upfront about the risk of infection, particularly in the lower teeth, and advised on what symptoms to watch out for. Unfortunately, I did develop an infection a week later, but the response from the office was swift and efficient. They offered me a same-day visit, although I had a scheduling conflict and went in the next morning instead. The quick incision and drainage procedure had me in and out of the office in under 30 minutes, with clear instructions on how to care for the site afterward. Since then, my recovery has been smooth sailing, and I couldn't be happier with the care I received at this office. I would highly recommend anyone in need of oral surgery to consider this practice for their exceptional care and professionalism. Thank you to the entire team for making what could have been a stressful experience as pleasant as possible. Of note, my initial office visit was last year around November, my wisdom teeth extraction was performed in March and I am writing this review now, to show how much thought I placed upon sharing my experience with anyone who needs OMFS services.
