Bike ride on the Atlantic coast nothing beats it. Great deal on bike rental bikes are well maintained to say it's near a salty beach. We rode until our legs gave out ,liked the idea it was near the hotel. Can't remember the guy's name but he was helpful and explained best route to ride and sightsee in Hilton Head. read more

Awesome customer experience. We showed up on the typical Saturday week long rental and I noticed the bikes had not been delivered. I called them up and we had a road that was slightly different for delivery. They dispatched a truck and were there in 30 minutes. They adamantly apologized and took responsibility but I'm sure I gave the incorrect street. Bikes were great.....no problems. Well my daughter packed their lock in our luggage. They called up and said no problem. I told the I would mail it back. Their customer service is really above and beyond. No brainer renting from these folks!!!! read more

Friendly staff and good equipment. My experience actually started at pedals...walked in and wasn't even acknowledged for a while until we just walked out. This spot is off the main strip and easy to walk from the beach parking area. Easier and cheaper to rent for a day. read more

We came back for or 2nd year of surf lessons with Ryan from Forrest Beach. This time we brought another family and we had first class service; surf boards, SUP, shaded tent area, water station and 3 instructors. J.T, Ryan and Rob you were great with the 4 boys and all the adults got up on the SUP and surf boards without too much embarrassment. Went to a family reunion in Hilton Head and wanted to rent some surfboards to mess around for the week..... FBSC Was open early and we met Allie and she was awesome! She hooked us up with two boards and told us where the waves might be a little better... and they were!!! If you need a board or bike or any other gear? FBSC is the best shop on the island! Walked in last minute and were immediately set up. Had a great time riding around town- slightly disappointed I asked if pick up was available but told no- seeing from comments posted here apparently it may be for some and not others. Also paid more for our rentals than others have mentioned- guess I should learn to haggle some. Came to post a 5 review and then changed to 4 based on others statements in pricing and convenience factors. A little bummed now actually! My teen daughter wanted to try a surf lesson with no prior experience. I signed her and my husband up but didn't have much of an expectation. Ryan was our instructor and he was AWESOME! He had a perfect demeanor for a teen beginner and is a HHI Native. He gave them a great lesson and told us all about the island. Bike rentals were only $10 per day, $20 for 3 days and $30 for a week. Baskets and helmets were included if needed. The service was friendly and they didn't nickel and dime us like we have been by other bike rental places on the island in past years. Good bikes for a good price! This company was awesome to work with. They had amazing prices on bike rentals and we booked the bikes a few weeks ahead of time. They were there when we arrived to our rental, they set the locks to your desired code, and they picked them up when we were leaving. The gentleman that came to pick up the bikes could not have been more friendlier to speak with. He made sure everything was fine. The bikes were in great shape- no bent handlebars/sideways seats/ flat tires...etc. very happy with the rentals and highly recommend them! read more

Bike rental!! Great customer service staff was very helpful. I've rented bicycles in HHI for 20 years, and this was the best experience I've had. My son broke his foot right before vacation, and the young lady on 6/25/18 was very accommodating so he he would be able to ride a tandem. $12/day bike rentals. Pretty standard. My bike came with a lock and basket. Bike was fine no problems with it. Staff was friendly and even gave me a map of all the local bike trails. I should mention I'm on the shorter side ,5'1, and usually when I rent bikes my toes barely touch the ground. Surprisingly I didn't have any problems with this bike and didn't have to to any adjustments. read more

Bikes were a reasonable price at $25 a piece and any accessories (including locks, baskets, etc.) were included for free with rental. It seems that this rental location receives less business that some others in the area so the bikes get less wear and tear and seem to be in better condition as they are stored indoors instead of outdoors (like other places nearby). Customer service is lacking, the girl behind the counter doesn't seem that bright. Prices are better at some of their competitors. Other than that, they will rent you bikes. Not bikes in great shape or anything, but they're sturdy and get the job done I guess. read more

Amazing staff and great service! We called day-of for paddleboards and the staff helped us right away and even delivered the boards to the beach entrance for us (our car was too small). They were extremely knowledgable and helpful and friendly! Their prices are unbeatable (we compared with other places throughout the island). Come here if you want great service! Thumb up for Forest Beach Surf & Cycle. We went there around 12 noon last week with 2 kids wanting to ride some bikes that afternoon. When we got to the store, we were told that the person is already out delivering bicycles and we probably would get ours in few hour (we were kinda disappointed because the kids want it right away and that we were leaving the island the next day).........and then the long story short, they tried to accommodate our need and delivered the bikes to us within an hour at the resort we were staying. That was just an exceptional customer services and we really appreciated that. Oh and another reason to go there for bike rental is that their rate is WAY better than the resort. read more

Terrible service! Growing up on the coast of Florida, I am no stranger to surf shops. And FB Surf and Cycle was extremely disappointing. To start, I wanted to rent a skim board for the week, which was said to be $40 online. I walked into the store and the guy tried to get $45 for it. Obviously $5 won't break the bank but that is just dishonest business. I bartered and he acted like it was a huge inconvenience to do $40 (which is what I ended up paying for it). The board he handed me had chunks missing, so I went back and grabbed one that was somewhat in tact. Skim-boarding and enjoying the waves was great fun but the bigger problem came on the day I had to return the board. My family of 11 had a very tight schedule and I anticipated being at the shop when the doors are said to open at 9 (both online and on the door itself). I waited outside of the door with another guy who was trying to return his bike until over a quarter after 9, but the lights were still off and the doors were still locked. We both were on tight departure schedules. I then decided to leave, go back to the house, and pack the car, having to leave extra room for this board to return later. I called the shop twice to see if they were open, and no answer. I left a message saying I expect compensation for this unprofessional inconvenience. Nothing. I returned at about 10:10 while the rest of my family departed. The same guy who rented me the board was there and barely gave me a chance to ask for some sort of compensation, saying he was only a "tad" late. After multiple interruptions, negligence, and just trying to get me going and out of the shop, I decided it wasn't worth it and I had my family and schedule to keep up with. We come every summer and there is no way that I will use this shop again. Local businesses/surf shops are not supposed to operate in such a poor manner as that.
