Petsense - MUST WATCH THIS VIDEO, WHAT PETSMART DID TO MY DOG! *WARNING* DO NOT USE PETSMART, IN OCALA FLORIDA

I had a negative experience at this store regarding a transaction. I purchased worms for my pet,…read morewhich totaled $5.36. I paid with a $10.00 bill and was supposed to receive $4.64 in change. However, the store clerk informed me that she did not have the $0.04 to return. Although the amount may seem small, the principle of the situation is significant. If I had not had other commitments that day, I would have considered leaving the worms at the store and requesting a full refund or even protesting for the $0.04. It may sound petty to argue over such a small amount, but I believe that if I had underpaid for the product, I would not have been allowed to complete the purchase. This experience left me feeling dissatisfied with the service I received.

On July 3rd, 2023 My grandmother took her Chihuahua to get groomed, she dropped her off and went…read morewalking around the store. While she walked down one of the isles she could hear the dog yelping and crying. She looked over to the window and they had double wrapped the dogs head in a towel. One girl was squeezing the head and mouth while another cut her nails. My grandmother ran over and started knocking on the window telling her to give her the dog back! My grandmother was so nervous and upset she grabbed the dog and left. That night the dog needed to be rushed urgently to a vet. They had broken her jaw and required emergency surgery and had all her teeth pulled. The manager had the nerve to tell my grandmother that the incident occurred at home and not at his store. He asked my grandmother where the dog uses the bathroom, maybe an animal did it to her outside or maybe someone at home abuses her. Chichi (the dog) lives a better life then most humans. She is an inside dog and no one abuses her. We have sent multiple letters to the company and they have been unresponsive. We weren't asking for anything more then they take care of the VET bill since their staff had broken our dogs jaw. The company has been unresponsive. They did however put up a sign stating they no longer take small pets. I am almost sure it is because their staff is poorly trained and abused our dog.

We even did a meet and greet with our one dog. So far it has gone well at home. The Humane Society and their staff were wonderful especially shout out to Tyler. He was great in giving me all the information that I needed and asked for as well as the handling of the adoption. I have seen some people, dislike the fact that you do have to jump through some hoops to adopt. However, given that they want to make sure that these animals do not come back to the shelter and have a forever home as well as make sure that they are responsibly taken care of after they leave their care, I see why they do it. Even after the adoption my new dog came up with kennel cough they immediately had us come back to the shelter, came to meet us at the car in proper PPE and sent us home with medication which now has worked wonderfully and laddie is now feeling so much better and more like himself. I'm excited for our journey with our new family member and thank you so much Humane Society of Marion County.

I honestly did not have any complaints about this location upon our first visit. We just moved to…read morethe area and we stopped in here the first time so Mila can get a picture with the Easter Bunny. The staff were very friendly and patient with Mila. For some reason, she was scared of the Easter Bunny and has been good with Santa. We visited for Santa pictures. I checked online and all the deals were half the price as the store. I found several items in the store and added them to my online cart. There was an abundance of quantities of each item. I get notified later that most of my items were canceled. That tells me the staff was too lazy to retrieve the items. I tried to cancel the order and they would not allow me to. So I have to wait until it's delivered and then return it. Oh and I opted for same day delivery-at 3pm and it was set for the following day. After all that, most of the items were cancelled and because it was a sale of "buy this many, get this many free", I lost out on a lot of money. The store is relatively neat and clean. The store is very big in size and they carry almost everything you can imagine for pets. Mila is always getting pets, compliments, and treats. The two times we visited was really busy but that could be because it was a weekend day and for events.

This PetSmart grooming location (Hwy 200 @ I75 in Ocala) is a hard no for me…read more When I dropped off my dog for its grooming appointment, I was advised "we usually need 4-5 hours for a grooming, not the 3 the website estimates". I returned to the grooming salon 4 1/2 hrs later and was advised my dog was bathed and dry but hadn't been groomed. Decided I wasn't going to subject my dog to who knows how much longer (no idea when the groomer was going to finish the dog they were currently grooming no how long they'd take on my pet). The store and grooming salon were untidy compared to other PetSmart locations near The Villages, Fl.
