Review of Preferred Management Preferred Management has…read moreconsistently demonstrated poor communication, lack of accountability, and an unprofessional approach to building operations. As unit owners, we expect clarity, fairness, and responsible oversight. Instead, we have repeatedly encountered dismissiveness, incomplete follow‑through, and policies applied only when convenient for management. Despite notifying the superintendent about important issues, Preferred Management places full responsibility on owners while ignoring the superintendent's failures. For example, the ceiling repair was delayed for months, forcing us to hire and pay an outside contractor. Management has never acknowledged this negligence or offered reimbursement. Additionally, the superintendent frequently enters the building's units and parking areas without proper boundaries or respect for owners. He uses parking spaces at will, leaves areas unsecured, and fails to monitor tenant move‑outs--yet management still charges owners fines for "unscheduled" moves. This double standard is unacceptable. Preferred Management's responses are often curt and unhelpful, focusing on fees rather than solutions. Their unwillingness to address the superintendent's behavior or their own operational gaps shows a lack of professionalism and respect for residents. Overall, Preferred Management needs significant improvement in communication, accountability, and fairness. Owners deserve a management company that enforces rules consistently, supports residents, and takes responsibility for its own staff.

So I called Flawless Finish Power Washing in Westwood and asked Sean to pass by and provide us with an estimate to soft wash those roof sections. He checked our roof and provided us with a reasonable estimate to soft wash the sections. His estimate was very detailed and he included photos showing exactly where he would provide the soft washing. Once the weather improved his team was able to pass by and they finished the job in reasonable time. They did an excellent job - our roof looks great. If this happens again next year - I will call Flawless Finish to clean our roof.
