I had a very frustrating experience with NEW Dermatology Associates of Green Bay…read more I'll start by saying the building itself is absolutely gorgeous--the exam rooms have beautiful barn wood from Tennessee that give it a lodge-like feel. Unfortunately, the care and billing practices did not match that first impression. Before I even spoke to a provider, the exam room was already set up with a biopsy kit, which felt very presumptive. A nurse came in, took photos, and asked a few basic questions. Then a young PA came in and immediately said a skin biopsy would be necessary to determine what was causing my rash. I agreed and was told to return in two weeks for suture removal and results. After driving an hour back for that follow-up, the nurse removed my sutures and told me the PA would be in shortly. The PA came in briefly--less than five minutes--and told me they still didn't have the biopsy results and would call me when they did. He asked how my rash was doing, I answered, and that was the entire visit. Later, I received a bill for over $150 for that appointment. When I called to question the charge, I was initially told that suture removal should have been included in the biopsy cost and that the charge would be removed. However, three months later, it was still submitted to my insurance and I was being billed again. When I followed up a second time, I was told by the manager that because I "spoke to the PA," it had to be billed as a follow-up visit. That is completely unreasonable--the provider initiated a brief conversation after informing me they didn't even have my results yet. It feels like patients are being billed for unnecessary or minimal interactions, and I find that extremely concerning. I cannot recommend this clinic based on my experience.

Dr Armus called me the following day after my appointment to check in on how I was doing and if I had any concerns he could address. He also encouraged me not to hesitate to contact him in the future if I may have any concerns that may develop. I will certainly recommend The New Dermatology Group & Dr Armus to my friends and family for their dermatological needs. Best Regards to all.

I wish I could give this company zero stars but, that isn't possible…read more I went to Dermatology Assc for help with pregnancy mask that had spread on my face. My visit was a joke and took all of 5 minutes. My appointment was with Kurt at the Howard location. He came in, never once reviewed any of the information that the nurse had taken from me. I was told to remove my makeup with a dry tri fold paper towel. I had to ask for cleanser. I would have brought makeup wipes if I would have known I was going to be using the equivalent of sand paper to remove my makeup. He finally comes back in the room and looks at my face for about 30 seconds. His official diagnosis, "it's not that bad." I get that it's pregnancy mask and in the grand scheme of things it not that bad. But, my face has brown patches that bother me. I was there for assistance not to be dismissed. I was told my only option is a prescription bleaching cream. I wasn't told any pros or cons of this treatment only that my insurance wouldn't cover it. I had to prod Kurt for information. I literally had to ask what are the benefits, features and cautions. Is this going to chemically burn my face? Probably is what I was told. He than changed direction and tried to sell me his $125 bleach cream from the Dermatology Assc retail line. I again had to ask about what's in this cream and how it works. This is a plant based line he told me. If he would have glanced at the information I gave his nurse he would have had a clue that I have plant based allergies. I asked for a patch test to insure that I could safely use it. I was told I can have a patch test once I buy it. Umm really? I asked for at least a pamphlet to read about it. At this point I'm irritated and underwhelmed with the lack of service on the most basic level. He begrudgingly gave me a photocopy. The visit took 5 minutes at most. It was underwhelming. Kurt was dismissive and seemed put out by me trying to get information from him and express concerns. I left there wishing I would have spent my money with an esthetician instead. At least I would have gotten my money's worth. I would never go back there or recommend it to anyone.

The medication suggested is toxic to the liver and requires regular blood tests to look for signs of toxicity. I know, they tried to push it on my teenage daughter without providing a pamphlet. I had to do the research myself. They say it's a "cure" for acne. It's costly and I have to wonder what their motives are behind pushing this horrible medication on patients, when clearly there are alternative treatments. The Dr. was rude and gave me the impression that I wasn't taking the situation seriously. It's acne, not cancer. The appointment was rushed and some of the nurses were bickering outside of the room. Very unprofessional atmosphere, I see they've changed their name, good to know. I will never recommend or return.
