Dr and nurse interactions were absolutely top notch. The doctor was especially kind and informative. The issues are with the rude and unprofessional receptionist. I tried to give her the packet of information from the nursing home that included a list of medication, medical power of attorney and she refused to take them, insisting I give them to the nurse. The nurse did not know why they weren't given to the receptionist. The medical POA was never put into the file, either was the dementia diagnosis that we don't mention in front of my father. Dealing with the receptionist's rudeness on the phone is just uncalled for. Be aware you will just get a call center if you try to call and ask questions about past or upcoming appointments and my call wait time averaged over 25 minutes to actually confirm the real time of an appointment- the automated system confirmed one time by text and a different time by phone call. The call center has no idea which is your actual appointment time so they have to transfer you to the receptionist. I asked for the office manager to call me to discuss the confusion and was assured by the receptionist they would not call. This is not a way to run a professional office. I hate to give a doctor's office a bad review when the medical staff are not the problem but this was the most ridiculous issue to deal with and has a very easy fix. read more

I have been here twice now and I always make sure to get to my appointment 10 minutes before my scheduled time. Both times I went I waited an hour past my appointment time . This is completely unprofessional . By the time the dermatologist saw me he rushed me out (obviously because he was behind) and did not acted like he cared for my needs . My skin is causing seriously health issues that I have been dealing with for over a year now and I have seen multiple different dermatologist for it . All of which were prompt and much more professional . This business is a complete waste of time, don't bother going here! I should of double checked but he is not even a MD which proves his inexperience and unprofessionalism. DON'T WATS YOUR TIME. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I personally feel like if they made these mistakes, I shouldn't be punished for it a year later. I should just chalk it up to their issues. It's on them by then. Now one year later again, I get a check for $7.17. I thought well that is strange maybe I overpaid after insurance ran. One week later, I got a bill for $9.13!! WTH is wrong with these people??? Horrible experience. Was treated with liquid nitrogen to "freeze spots" and told I would experience a stinging sensation and redness that would subside in a week. Spots treated turned into oozing burn blisters and swelling. Eyes were completed swollen shut on 3rd day. Each time I called to inquire about these effects, I was told what I was experiencing was normal, but again, not told of any of these effects at the time of appointment. At follow up visit, I didn't really feel like the Physician's Assistant, Gregory Dougan, really cared that now I have scars that are far worse than the original spots he treated nor the ordeal I went through with the blisters, burns and swelling that prevented me from working. After being told at my local dermatologist that I would have to wait 3 months for an appointment, I called Forefront Dermatology and got an appointment 2 days later. The doctor was great, he was very nice and made sure to answer all my questions. I had to get a biopsy, and it looks like he did a very good job removing the mole. I will gladly make the hour drive to this office again if I need to. read more

We were always pleased with the service and availability of the Shideler practice. Then Forefront became involved. We were moved to a new dermatologist at the Carmel location . She had recently arrived from the west. She did a thorough and good exam,etc. However, no one in this office told us that she was not in our network which the other two doctors previously used were in such network. This resulted in a financial loss that Forefront only partially addressed. Thus we have switched practices. Our advice is be sure the doctor is in your network as no one in this office alerted us when we were asked to switch. read more

For those who have had luck with Forefront Dermotology, great! I was one of their first patients when the office opened in Seymour, IN. I was excited to actually have a derm office in Seymour and not have to drive to find a Dr. Then the practice was sold to Forefront Dermatology and offices began opening up throughout the region. Doctor appts became difficult without a 3-4 month waiting period. NP's and PA's began taking over patient loads and the Dr now only did surgeries. It became a situation where everything was biopsied and follow up surgery when necessary. My last experience was horrible. I noticed a spot on my leg (I have a history of skin cancer) and knew that it needed it looked at immediately as it was growing rapidly. I called the Seymour office and was told that I had to wait for an appt for 2 months and if I was concerned to visit my local physician or urgent care center. Nice service??? When I asked if they could fit me in with a NP or PA and I would be glad to wait, I was told they didn't do it. I asked if they left so many appts for this type of issue and again the answer was no. Obviously, patient service is a low priority. I then called a derm office in Columbus, IN that I had not gone to in years and was given an appt within 2 days due to my history with skin cancer. I am so glad I returned to my original Dr's office. It has been worth the 30 minute drive to receive better patient care. Kathleen read more
