I love this church, everyone there is very friendly and the Pastor Jason is great also. The messages or sermons are very refreshing

**Title:** Extremely Disappointed - Not a Welcoming Church…read more I have been walking my dog on this church's property for nearly 10 years. During that time, I considered this place part of my community. I've given blood here, picked up trash, and even helped keep the property safe by running off people doing donuts in the parking lot. Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed how I view this church. I was asked to leave the premises simply because I was wearing a poncho. They claimed they didn't recognize me, which is absolutely false given my long history of being around this property. I am appalled. A church should be welcoming--especially to those in its own community. Instead, I was profiled and treated like an outsider. This is not the behavior I expect from a place that claims to represent God's love.

VERY Rude Staff Member-…read more I had a REALLY upsetting experience with a member of the seating staff today that I feel needs to be addressed. My family, friends, and I (a group of six) arrived just before worship began, and as usual, floor seating was limited. Since we didn't want to disrupt anyone, we chose to stand off to the side near the risers and wait for the seats to open up. This is something we've seen people do regularly every Sunday. While we were quietly standing there, not blocking any aisles and already engaged in worship, a staff member approached us. In a very condescending and harsh tone, he said things like, "This isn't a sporting event, you can't just stand here and watch," and repeatedly told us we "needed to get out of the way." His delivery felt unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive, as if we were doing something wrong when we were simply waiting respectfully. The overall interaction came across as rude and frankly unwelcoming. We were not being disruptive in any way. In fact, we were trying to be considerate by not navigating through a darkened auditorium once worship had already started. To make matters worse, we had invited close family friends to attend for the first time, and this interaction left them so uncomfortable that they've already said they won't be returning. This experience was deeply disappointing and not at all reflective of the welcoming environment one would expect. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because no one should feel spoken to or treated this way--especially in a place that is meant to be inclusive and inviting.

This is a great church! This church has everything from Sunday School (which a lot of churches have…read morequit doing), nursery, killer (not litteraly) youth group, awesome Tuesday night classes, yard sales, craft bazaars, sports, cookouts and great preaching. However, what makes a church isn't the full calander, yummy dinners or an effective homeless ministry, it's the people! I feel very welcome when I am there and missed when I am gone. They are caring, thoughtful and not perfect, which is something I can relate to. I have made this place my home church and would recommend this church to anyone looking for a loving church family. See you Sunday!

But God had led me to this church so I went. Immediately, my family was blessed by excellent Biblical teaching from Sunday School/Sunday Service and examples of authentic Christianity where people really love and take care of others. There are many volunteers who serve: in Sunday School teaching where I learn something new every week (even after 34 years of church!), in the Nursery to help share the responsibility, at a truly amazing youth center, talented musicians on the worship team, and in outreach, like the Beach Bucket, Homeland Disciples, and PIN ministry on-site. There is so much being done from this place, it is truly amazing. Even if we have to move, we will come back to Beach regularly, as it has become a home to us and part of our family. We need you too! Come to Sunday School at 10 am Sundays and service at 11 and hear what God is saying to His church. Share a hug, pray with a stranger and make a new friend! God is moving and His blessings abound!

My son, who was not even 2 yet also loved it. He is almost 3 now and is overjoyed when it is time to go to church. There have been a couple periods of time where I have missed several weeks of church and each time when I return I have never felt shame or guilt. My son and I have always been welcomed and it's always "how have you been!!" and not "where have you been." (This was my experience growing up in church). I feel so lucky to have found essential and grow my relationship with Jesus, as well as give my son a different experience than I had growing up.

I haven't been to church on a regular basis since I was in my adolescence years living at home. My husband who was a bit skeptical about going now looks forward to going every Sunday. Essential has been our church home for 5 years. The message is always on point and the community aspect is amazing. They're the type of church where you can come as you are and you'll fit right in. Their youth program is phenomenal and our little ones really enjoy the eKids room. They offer a celebrate recovery (CR) program every Wednesday night. This program is for anyone who has a hurt, habit or hangup (which is everyone, let's be honest ‍) It's changed my life in so many ways. We can't say enough about this church. Plus if you're new, you get a coffee mug (the nice wide mouth styled one and some other cool stuff) Try it out you wont be disappointed.
