I paid a 99$ deposit to confirm my time slot. When the movers arrived, there were 3 of them. The crew assured me the cost would be the same because with 3 of them they would finish faster. They did finish in well under an hour but then they are trying to overcharge me an additional 80$ for the extra mover that I didn't request. They are threatening me with "legal action" in an attempt to extort/scare me into paying. I only accepted the extra mover on their word the cost would be the same. This is not a good business practice.

It's a weird time to move (March 2022-pandemic ongoing, great resignation, etc) and we'd heard and read some horror stories about traditional moving companies not getting stuff delivered for weeks because they've been just overwhelmed. U-Pack will add or subtract an amount per foot based on what you use. I checked on pricing for the cubes and the big trailer was still cheaper. You fill the trailer and they will drive it anywhere.
