Cancer Research sells it's own range of commercial items as well as being a second hand charity…read moreshop. They sell a large proportion of Bric-a-Brac, and recently expanded their book section. The shop is quite large, taking up a double frontage in the row of shops. It is one of the most popular charity shops in Ulverston in as much as it is always busy. I find it expensive.

Unfortunately I do not recommend anyone to volunteer here. I left as a volunteer because the manager was a nightmare basically because she doesn't value volunteers. So if you ever want to volunteer here please be aware you will be given no proper respect or rights as a volunteer. You will be overworked with rare breaks, will be exposed to trash talking, discrimination and bullying. If you're reading, manager, you should take a long think because if you carry on putting volunteers down, you will fail this charity and you will ruin the company's reputation. Is that really worth the risk?
