Their "As Seen on TV Choreo" Classes look particularly fun. They have class offerings every day of the week! I first attended their weekly Latin dance social on Friday and it was a lot of fun. There's plenty of parking available. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the front desk staff. There are a couple of restrooms and what looks like a dressing room to the left but of course the focal point is the studio itself. It is super spacious and the high ceiling makes it feel even more so. The floor is so nice and smooth (dancers will appreciate this lol), there are mirrors all across the north wall and they have acoustic panels installed as well. There's also a nice lounge area towards the back. Their online booking system is super easy to use. They always have an updated class schedule and they include details on each class to know what to expect. They offer classes for all ability levels, from absolute beginner to advanced/professional. You can choose to drop-in for any class ($15) or save money by purchasing a 10 class package ($139) or signing up for a 12 class monthly membership ($149). They also have an unlimited class monthly membership available, which is their best deal ($179). I've tried their belly dancing class so far and I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

There are three different studios inside, all with quality flooring needed for dancing. The shelves next to the front desk are extremely helpful to put your belongings there instead of having to carry them inside the studio with you. With 9 dance instructors on their faculty, they offer a wide range of classes for every level and all ages (3years to adults): ballet, creative movement, tap, lyrical, contemporary, character/ethnic dance, hip-hop, yoga, praise, aerial, and Broadway Theater. I attended a special Afro-Latin workshop provided by a guest instructor as well as a Latin Dance social. It was amazing and super fun. The space was perfect for both. There were even special performances. I'm excited to learn they have classes for adults and they also rent the space when available. They have detailed class descriptions on their website and they also offer summer camps and intensives.

This is the location for buying ballet tickets or picking up season tickets. The kickoff to the ballet season starts here with the Special K Creations. I would like to share my experience at "The Nutcracker" performance…read more First, this is a ballet it is not simply "The Nutcracker" nor a parody - it is Tchaikovsky's masterpiece known around the world for its music. However, you did not even put Tchaikovsky's name on the cover of the program, website, or billboards and mentioned his name only somewhere inside the program after the artistic manager, premiere sponsor, production team, etc. It looks not simply strange for art lovers - it looks inappropriate. Since the late 1960s, "The Nutcracker" has been danced by many ballet companies, especially in North America. Major American ballet companies generate around 40% of their annual ticket revenues from performances of this ballet. Its score has been used in several film adaptations of Hoffmann's story. I think at least these facts are enough to give tribute to Tchaikovsky's musical talent. Second, Chocolate (Spanish Dance), Coffee (Arabian Dance) Tea (Chinese Dance) were all performed in the costumes reflecting the nature of these dances and the composer's intent. However, Trepak (Russian Dance) instead of traditional Russian costumes was performed in golden driller costumes (yellow work costumes and hard hats). What is it if not erasing Russian culture or in the best case mocking Russian culture? It looks especially absurd given that Tchaikovsky is a great Russian composer. There are many things going on in politics in the modern world, but it cannot justify the vandalism of Russian culture. This is a few minute fragment of the Russian dance from "The Nutcracker" how it is supposed to look. https://youtu.be/1_vP7M0Cock?si=boHqAXKesfNVJTEO My husband, our friends and I left after the scene with the "Russian dance" in American oil worker costumes. We regularly attend symphony concerts, chamber music concerts, etc. Tulsa is a very culturally rich city. However, after what we saw at your performance, we will not be back to any Tulsa ballet performances. Perhaps, somebody from the "creative team" will decide to put clown outfits on the performers in "Dance of The Knights" from S. Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet." ???!
