This vet team is the best. I make the drive across town for my pups. They always answer the phone when you need them. Highly recommend them.

Have used For Paws for many years. Fantastic staff that clearly ally love the animals they come in contact with.

It was one of the most terrifying experiences we've ever faced as pet owners. The moment we arrived at Tender Care Veterinary Center, the staff immediately stepped in with kindness, urgency, and compassion. Dr. Lieve Kamholz saw Nyssa right away, and within about 30 minutes of arriving, they had already completed X-rays, blood work, and a full exam. Dr. Kamholz quickly diagnosed the problem and clearly explained our options. Nyssa ultimately needed emergency surgery to survive. Dr. Kamholz and the entire team were incredible throughout the entire process--from diagnosis, to pre-operative care, to surgery, to post-operative care. Their skill, compassion, and quick action saved our sweet Nyssa. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for bringing our pup back from the brink of death. Because of you, Nyssa is still here with us today. We will forever be grateful.

We drove in from the Springs and before anyone even looked at him, the staff immediately started talking about prices and payment. I couldn't afford the long list of tests they pushed (ultrasounds, additional bloodwork, and more). After sitting there from 6 PM until 10:30 PM, all they did was run one blood test and then told me my dog was dying -- throwing out terms like cancer, internal bleeding, liver failure, and saying he'd be gone within 48 hours. They heavily implied euthanasia. Well, here we are 72 hours later, $400 wasted, and my dog is absolutely fine -- turns out he just needed to pass a bowel movement. As both a farm hand and a vet tech, I can say with confidence this felt like fear-mongering, not veterinary care. I left feeling like they wanted me to put my dog down rather than deal with a simple issue. Do not take your pets here.

They even had the wrong owner information and refused to correct anything when I called. A staff member flat-out refused to accept updated records. I am a medical doctor, and I can say confidently: losing medical records like this is dangerous. Your pet could get duplicate vaccines, wrong treatments, or be denied emergency care because this clinic has no idea what they've done before. Their negligence has now disrupted my international travel because my dog doesn't have the documentation he needs -- all because this clinic cannot keep records. If they mishandle my dog's file this badly, I'm terrified for what could happen to yours. Proceed with extreme caution. The vets are great but the management of this clinic and its records is very unsafe for pets.

They required a quality of life exam costing $82 to even consider the euthanasia. We are long term clients with several animals. This requirement felt very judgemental and money oriented. We canceled our appointment and rescheduled with another Vet that is more sensitive to the difficult decision we're going through. We won't be going back and recommend no one else does either. Being judged at a time like this is unforgivable.

She also did not recommend vaccination for Bordetella, even though we are active with our dogs and they frequently come in contact with other animals. The main thing, however, was when we brought our puppy in for a routine vaccine visit, she wanted to test him for a UTI even though he wasn't experiencing any symptoms. I assumed this test would come back negative, however they called the next day to let me know he did have a UTI and he needed to go on a round of antibiotics and pain medication (to help with the symptoms he was NOT experiencing). I took my puppy to another vet to get a second opinion, and I'm glad I did because it turns out he actually does not have a UTI. In addition, she recommended we neuter him no later than 6 months old. For a Bernese Mountain Dog, it is widely recommended you wait at least a year. While she is very thorough in assisting with potty and crate training techniques, I believe some of her views on veterinary medicine is a bit outdated. We will not be returning to Dr Walker.

Libby is very easy going and has no special needs so I just wanted to find a decent, not too expensive place. I visited DDR and picked up paperwork. I love how all dogs get their own pens where they can choose to be inside or outside at any time. The place is super clean and everyone who works there was friendly. It is out there east past Dragonmans - but for the cost it is worth the drive. My pup was there for 8 days and she barely wanted to come home. Apparently she found a boyfriend while she was there. This is one of those places that I really don't want to share with others so it is available when I need it, but I guess I can share DDR with the rest of the world. They give a military discount, a cash discount and the nightly rate goes down the longer the stay.
