I can't say enough positive things about Music Together of Kitchener-Waterloo!! We are so grateful…read moreto have found this program as it has benefited our 2-year-old daughter so greatly! The benefits of the program are countless and the people who run it are exceptional, we feel so lucky. The program has really helped our daughter socially to feel more confident interacting with others and participating; it's helping her to come out of her shell. We all really look forward to music class each week as a family, and our daughter can always be found singing the songs (so can I!!)! The songs have been so helpful to sing along to outside of music class too. The songs get us dancing and making music at home. Our daughter now loves making music with whatever she can find, from kitchen spoons to using her voice. The songs help us so much too when she's having a hard time, being a helpful and positive distraction and motivator. Sarah who runs the whole program, is so so beyond helpful!! She was beyond accommodating and helped answer all of our questions. When we had to miss the first class, she wanted us to be able to benefit from the program materials right away so dropped our materials off at our home! She has set up an incredible policy around missed classes that is so incredibly friendly and accommodating to families, allowing families to reschedule any class that they need to miss, whether you need to miss due to sickness or a difficult day when naps are off course. The program is understanding that you might not have forewarning about needing to miss and also understanding of not wanting families to miss out on the classes or what you have paid for, so allow you to make up any missed classes when is convenient for your schedule. When you sign up, you are not just signing up to attend a weekly music class, you are also provided a beautiful book showcasing each of the songs, as well as a CD of all of the music and access to the music anytime via the app. The classes are set up to allow for various ages to interact together which is such a lovely thing; everyone comes together and participates in their own way and I have noticed that it is fostering kindness, learning to be a helper, and sharing. Our teacher Jes is the warmest sparkle of a human and is so genuine and lovely, she is so amazing with the kids and makes everyone feel special and included. I really and truly can't say enough about this program and we can't wait to continue. Thank you to Sarah and Jes for everything:):)

My 6 year old granddaughter has attended the Forest City Gymnastics Club for 2 years now. We were…read moreless than impressed after the first year, but decided to try another year in hopes of having a better experience, and because of the proximity to our home. Unfortunately that was not the case. After the first year, I expressed my concern about the lack of actual instruction and the less than enthusiastic behaviour of the coaches and was told that they were just new coaches and that the next year would be better. It was not. I did not expect that my granddaughter was heading to the Olympics. What I did expect is that the coaches would teach skills and that an improvement would be seen after 2 years. There was a great deal of standing around time and line up times when the kids could have been actively participating. This was an expensive activity, and I expected that the kids would advance in their skills, and that did not happen. My own children went to Forest City Gymnastics 30 years ago, and this is definitely not the same calibre of gymnastics club that it was then! As a physical educator, a long time coach and a former director of a summer sports camp, I was disappointed in all aspects of this Forest City Gymnastics experience. We will be looking for a different gymnastics club, or another activity for the future for our grand children.

This little fitness class just started in Kitchener and it doesn't take long to see that Nicole…read moreThorne, who runs the classes herself, really knows what she is doing. She starts off with a one-on-one meeting to go over what exactly you are looking to do fitness-wise (and as we are women, we probably all have the same goal - flat tummy, nice bum, tone arms and legs etc.) and then she gets you started. The classes are two times a week (Tuesday and Thursday) and you can choose either early morning or evening. She is also a specialist in postnatal fitness and does "mummy tummy repair" as she calls it. Right from the first class you can tell the workout is having an effect and despite how easy it seemed to be, the day after you feel the burn, which is exactly what I look for! Her prices are also way cheaper than most and she gives excellent value.
