I want to start off by saying this 1 star review is in no way reflective of the YMCA coaches. My…read morechildren have been swimming for the YMCA program, and took swim classes early on, and their coaching staff is spectacular. We have been members for 5 years- we have participated in the swim programs, soccer, summer camps, and worked out. Our situation recently changed as we had to move (further away from this ymca location), and our children are participating in their school extracurricular activities. We decided to cancel our membership for these reasons. The YMCA has a 30 day notice period for member cancellations, which is pretty standard. What is not standard is if you decide to cancel membership anytime between the 5th and the end of the month, you are forced to pay your entire membership fee for the following month - which, is not transparently shared in their paperwork or verbally at time of signup. Today is the 5th and I went in to cancel. I was told that I would owe the entire monthly dues for October, even though 30 days from now is October 5th. I asked why their policy did not allow for the October dues to be prorated to abide by their own "30 days notice policy". I received a smug response from the lady behind the counter that I had missed their "grace period", which occurs between the 2nd through the 4th of the month, by a near 12 hours to request our cancellation.

A brand-new facility Tucktaway in a little community of Woodfin wedged in between Asheville and Weaverville is the only real major gym in the northern part of Buncombe County. It consist of treadmills elliptical bicycling in stair climb machines and a large set a very new weight machines in addition to a free weight area and several exercise rooms. Doesn't have a pool or sauna or hot tub unfortunately. And though I do have YMCA envy for the Southern location such as Arden I do you like my own little YMCA

I didn't think it would help because my Primary Care Physician had given me some exercises to do at home that had accomplished nothing. I love to hike and hadn't been able to walk across the room without pain until I started at Pro Physical. Each of the therapists assigned to me contributed hugely to a successful recovery. The office staff always recognized me and welcomed me by name when I came for an appointment. Everyone there was a star! I'm so glad I went to Pro Physical!

The whole process from where to enter to the exit and everything in between was perfectly handled by the YMCA staff . They didn't miss a beat! All of the kids had about an hour and a half to swim before it was time to eat cupcakes and various snacks and watch the birthday boy opening presents. The YMCA didn't hold my daughter to an exact number of kids she could invite so there were quite a number in attendance. This was a super great experience and it's a great place for a birthday party!
