Dr. Ouska-Grififn was the best! I had some pretty bad foot pain and she helped identify the issue…read morerelatively quickly. Her office is located in the loop, so easy to get to. She examined everything very thorougly and was able to explain the exact problem, how to treat it, and how to prevent it going forward. She was very methodical with her tests, I could tell she never leaves a stone unturned and looks at every possible cause of injury. If i ever have foot problems again, I will go back to her without question.

I've been happy to live for many years in Chicago, where one can find virtually any kind of doctor,…read moreand there are lots of choices. I like that, because I'm choosy. Generally, it's been easy to find really good doctors... but when I needed a podiatrist! Wow! It's like the Wild West out there in Podiatry World. You can wind up with someone who will do you more harm than good. How do I describe the sinking feeling you get when you realize that a doctor in whom you've placed your trust actually does not know what s/he is doing? After these early bad experiences, it was such a relief to find Dr. Florence! She is everything you want a doctor to be. When she took me on as a patient, it was a full-out commitment. She had my back from the first day until... until, sadly for me, she left Chicago. Her dedication and professionalism are exemplary, and you Wisconsin folk are lucky to have her now. If you have a foot problem: Do not pass 'Go'...... Go directly to Dr. Florence.

Had surgery for a bunion and it was with Doctor B last one on a Friday which was done last year…read more The procedure seem to go okay. For the most part, I had questions after like most people. I was experiencing a tingling and pain from the foot and to this day it has not gone away. I was told it would go away and I am still waiting for this to happen and its been over eight/ten months. {By the therapist and the doctor} I talked with my primary Doctor about the cordaozine shot that was recommended to make the pain disappear for a while. He looked at me and said do you realize how much that would hurt? Nope... It mask the issue but its not a fix! We trust Doctors to "practice" on us and with hope things turn out well. I have pain in my foot daily and the tingling has not disappeared from my foot. I cannot wear my shoes for a length of time due to the toe has limited movement to a degree but not without pain. Pain was not the plan and a shot to mask the pain is not the in the plan. I believe a nerve was pinched and the muscles may never correct its self. My Foot has been worked like crazy since, it was approved after surgery. Still having these issues with no great outlook on wearing shoes for full day without pain. I wonder if it was better to keep the bunion at least the swelling would end. I could wear my shoes for most of the day. I am not a fan of surgery or the medical field "practicing" on me. This has given me another reason to limit the "practice" on me from this field. This is one job that effects us for life. We have to live with the results. When a Doctor refuses to listen and admit they just might have messed up it is a problem. We all are human and have mistakes but this is one that has long term effects. Long weeks of work and then surgeries of fitting people into the schedule may have to be cut back if your focus is compromised. Nice man but, the ego needs to be checked. It sucks for me for every day living with this problem. A doctor that is refusing to take accountability. Well, that will give anyone a bad taste to trust the profession. Listen to your clients because they know their body better then anyone! YEs, Even the doctors in the world! Just done talking and hearing it will disappear. ITS Not going to happen so lets be honest please. A real story and a real view on the medical profession. I have tried to be understanding and felt the need to share the truth on what can happen. It is not going to be perfect for everyone. We need to be more honest and really decide on the effects it will have on your life long term. I guess we think this is no big deal. It is your feet and it is a huge deal. We use them daily and it helps us live life. I know it was my choice and thinking just that no big deal and believing the doc. It is the biggest deal having someone cutting and removing things from your body. Think about your choices and know it might not work in the end game. Thanks and good luck on your choice.

I was struck by a vehicle as a pedestrian in December of 2017 and came very to losing my lower right leg. I was 48 years old at the time. I suffered traumatic ankle dislocation, fractured tibia and fibula, among several other complicated trauma injuries. Dr. Paulick performed 4 surgeries in 13 days to save my lower right leg, while I was in the hospital. Dr. Paulick has tirelessly done everything surgically and medically to provide me with the amazing gift, of being able to walk and do everything else, on my own leg. From the very first day, to my last visit with Dr. Paulick today, he has patiently and meticulously explained every medical detail to me, and graciously answered all of my questions throughout my long recovery journey. I knew from the first day that I had 100% confidence and trust in Dr. Paulick's competencies as an orthopedic surgeon. Today I can work and drive again, and do everything to enjoy living a full life, as I had prior to my accident, thanks to the remarkable medical care which Dr. Paulick has provided for me. I am so grateful to him beyond words, and am truly blessed and honored to have Dr. Paulick as my orthopedic surgeon. He is the true definition of what a physician and surgeon should be for their patients.

My health is not the best I am a diabetic and have no feeling in my legs and feet. in fact, sometimes I worry that I am a real pain. however, neither doctor nor his staff has ever given me the impression that I am. They have shown me nothing but respect and real concern. I know that finances are a very difficult thing for anyone. I know that even personally I hate it, so I can't imagine having to do it every day. I have had to meet with the business manager and she was direct but not in a disrespectful or harsh accusing manner. No one is perfect and I would be the first to say I have done insurance billing and even though I would check and double check my work and still I would get a call or the claim would come back. Sometimes even worse the patient would call or even worse yet come in so angry because the insurance led them to think that the doctor's office messed up and now they may have to pay their bill. So I can really have empathy when it comes to being on the finance part. Were ther times that I maybe put in a wrong ICD9 code, yes and when it was brought to my attention I apologized and told them that I would take care of it and thanked them for bringing it to my attention. I really hated it when I tried to be patient and the pateint was so mad that it was so hard to keep my mind from just hearing the yelling and listen to them. I would feel like a kid when their parents scream, gee maybe that is why ear phones were made for phones. makes it much easier to tune out. I guess that is why when I get a nice financial manager in a doctor's office or anywhere I let my breath out that I had been holding since I got out of my car. If I had to call, that saying oh God don't let them answer. I can say I have never gotten this feeling from any of the staff, concerning bills or co-pays. That was my experience and I am sorry that anyone should have had a bad experience cloud the expert care from an expert doctor like Dr. Thomas Paulich. I guess what I am trying to say is go make your own impression. I will never be sorry I am seeing him. His Staff that in my opinion would be a five star; if they were a hotel, are tops.
